My oldest has adjusted SO well to college - way better than I ever could have anticipated. His grades are better than they ever have been, he is JOYFUL, and he has himself a girlfriend - he left behind a toxic relationship here and was so afraid that it would cloud his view on anyone he met there/his heart would be here.

Just does a moms heart good to have my kid so happy

Mine does too! He has a little black cube that he has claimed as his own. We don’t even know what it is from. He puts in his mouth and calls us then will bring it to us and drop it. We throw it and he brings it back to us! We love it (except when playtime is the middle of the night and I mistake it for a bug in the bed!).

Yup, though I only turned it on this morning when I woke up to warm up. It's a trailer so leaks like a sieve. Yesterday the AC chugging away, today the heat. Love the way I have to live...

Then I forgot to turn it back off after the shower and heading out the door. I won't be home until around midnight so it will be running all day

I won the 50/50 jackpot at bowling on Tuesday night. I won it the week before, too. I have been on the league for six years and, until now, I have only won it once!

Same but my youngest. The oldest was easy, and only community college. The youngest is socially awkward and I worried about her since leaving after move-in.

Then she's sending me pictures of her lunch out in town at a restaurant. Another picture on the public bus coming home from Walmart with her toilet paper score, LOL. I was all, "Look at you adulting, it's so adorable!"

Gotta run and get her tonight for the weekend so we can watch Cobra Kai, LOL. She hasn't been home in 3 weeks. She's having a great time.

The cat we lost last year also played fetch. With sewing bobbins. He once returned it to me 32 times in a row. No idea how we even figured that out. But it was so fun. Miss him a lot.

Today is DD's birthday (she's 29, where did the time go?) and against my better judgement I tried a new cake recipe. Guess what? The filling for it is delicious, so good I don't care how the rest of it comes out!

I had a similar result with a topping rather than a filling. It had cream cheese, whipped cream and pineapple, and I modified it to make a delicious cheesecake. Perhaps you can use your cake filling for a pie filling in a Graham cracker crust sometime.

DH and DS7 made my birthday cake. DH baked it, frosted it, handed it off to DS7 to write happy birthday. This is how it turned out:

A good friend of mine has a vacation day today, which is good news, because a car drove into the front of her work and right into her office - if she would have been there this probably would have killed her. Finding out she wasn’t there was the best news and relief.

Leaving for Disney tomorrow. The REALLLY good news would be for the "hurricane 3" bypasses Orlando area. Fingers crossed.

My little dog who was sick in hospital has recovered completely and is back to her sweet self.
