Good News to Share!!!!!!

Some bakground info;

We spent our honeymoon in WDW 20 years ago. 18 years ago our only child, a son was born on November 18th!!!!! Anyone???? Mickey Mouse's Birthday! How appropiate!

We started him on WDW when he was 5 and have been going 2-3 times a year since then! He LOVES WDW!!!

Now to the good stuff!!

He decided to go to college at UCF in Orlando! He got accepted and then he got into their Honors College. Only 421 students get accepted and only 25 are from out-of-state!!!

Now the GREAT News!! He is accepted into their Accelerated Medical Degree program! He will be at UCF for 4 years and USF in Tampa for 3 years!!!!


He is planning on going into Pediatric Nerosurgery!

If anyone out their has ever heard of Dr. Ben Carson, the Chief Pediatric Neurosurgeon at Johns Hopkins in Baltimore...that is my son's Hero! He wants to someday work along side him! It was Dr. Carson's book, Gifted Hands, that got my son interested in becoming a doctor!

I am so happy that he will be in Orlando...right by WDW!!!! And that he got accepted!

You must be SO proud!!! Congratulations to your son! Johns Hopkins has some great people, I was lucky enough to have surgery there when I was 17 (took some doing too! LOL) I bet someday we will hear about your son, the famous Dr. I'm sure any child will be lucky to be his patient. All the luck to him!

Great for him. I am a UCF student and like it very much. The only advice I can give is that if he will be driving a car onto campus, leave early to allow plenty of "find parking space" time!!!! They are always building new parking areas (well at least it seems like construction is constantly going on) so maybe when he arrives he won't have such difficulty. If he has any questions that I might be able to answer feel free to PM me. I don't promise I'll know the answer, but I could try to find out!!

You guys are the best! I love to share my good news with you because you understand! I told my DS that the only problem will be when he gets a break at school...he will probably call us and tell us he wants to come home...but we will say NO! Stay there! We will come visit you!!!!!! LOLOLOL!

As a surprise we have a PS at the V & A Chef's Table to celebrate on Dec. 19th! They just called us tonight to confirm everything and they know it is a special celebration. He did the Chef's Table with us before and he loved it! The Iron Chef on the Food Network is one of his favorite shows!!! He will be so surprised that we booked it again!

One more day to go before our trip! Now I am about ready to burst! I have a half of day of work tomorrow and then home to pack the last minute stuff!

I will post when I get home how everything went!
