Good News!! (sorta OT)

Its a miracle! Thanks to nintendo's new DS Lite we be able to play VMK using opras (i think incorrect spelling) web browser. I dont really know if this is true but i found it on a magazine called Nintendo Power.(im a gamer of nintendo)
They used VMK as an example to internet gaming. Nintendo Pres. said that a game like this isnt really so sophisticated so thy really may be able to let it play. I think I'll be able to scan a picture from the magazine to show it.



DS Lite is wont be coming out for a while and Nintendo Pres. doesn't know either.

It's the web browser Opera. I heard that they would make a web browser but I didn't know that they would have plugins like shockwave or that! AWESOME!

but.... can it only be DS Lite or will it work on regular DSs?

I found a press release from the middle of February.

Opera: Giving gamers two windows on the Web

It is supposed to be released in Japan first. My DD has a Nintendo DS. I can't imagine VMK being very playable on those two small screens. We'll wait and see. I hope Nintendo includes some parent controls. I wouldn't mind my DD playing VMK on her Nintendo DS but I don't want to give her access to the entire Internet (she's 9).

what's cool is that downtown in my city has city-wide wireless internet! woot! my question is thought how are you supposed to get macromedia on a ds?? and i better start saving! let's see... i get $20 a month flat no more something nothing... i have a $102 i need $45 for digital cameras for my friends for disneyland gradution trip(we'll be singing D-I-S-N-E-Y instead of Y-M-C-A LOL) so that means i have approx. 55 bucks right now... so i need a $95 bucks more...that will take me...5 months... darn! i was kinda hoping to go to starbucks after school everyday to play vmk!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! since my school is near a starbucks!

I mentioned this several months ago when the web browser info was released.

You have it kind of wrong as the browser pack can be put into a regular DS too. There are two different sizes. I sadly was told by some people, and it makes since, but the DS doesn't have enough RAM or something like that to play VMK. I guess only time can tell. Sadly the release is June in Japan, and who knows when when it comes Stateside.

No offense but I think I didn't make myself clear. something call the DS Lite (spelled correctly) will be way way way way way be more advanced than a nintendo ds. Also the nintendo pres. was comparing VMK to Warcraft. maybe vmk is more sophisticated than I think.

I have been following this news since the day it came out. I have read everything about the DSlite. I want it really badly dont' get me wrong. But really all it is, is DS sp. It is smaller, and has a brighter light. No graphical improvements. This is not the SNES to N64, or the GBA to DS. More like GBA to GBA SP.

Give me a link to where the President of Nintendo (Iwata) said that VMK is like WoW.
