For anyone thinking about or looking to purchase this lens, I saw it today listed for $389 + free shipping from 47th Street Photo (via Amazon.com). This is the best price I have seen on this lens yet. Just thought I would put the word out there!!

I had been eyeballing this since I got my camera a few months ago when the price was almost $450. I have also been looking on KEH.com and the best deal I have seen is an "EX+" for $364+shipping. For that price...why not just buy the new one? ..............I may very well have to do that, we'll see! :goodvibes

Happy Monday!

Seems like many of the Sigma prices are coming back down to pre-hike levels.. that's good! I think it would still be worth it at $450 but that would be hard to justify knowing what it used to cost ;)

Another option you might consider is taking advantage of the Microsoft/Ebay/Paypal Buy It Now 25% cashback promotion that has been going on for a while now. When I switched systems earlier this year and wanted to replace my 4/3 Siggy 30 with one for Sony, I got a pristine used copy for $275 after the cashback.

??? 25% cashback promotion?! Where is this going on...only on ebay?

You must search thru Microsoft's search website that they are trying to promote. Go to live.com and then do a search for the Sigma lens. One of the first sites will probably be ebay and will show a cashback icon. You must enter thru this link. The purchase must be a buy it now and it will confirm how much you will get back on the purchase before you complete it. I've done a couple and am waiting for the cash back which is available on 60 days. There's some other registration that needs to take place but you will have a message on your ebay account on what you need to do.

Thanks! :thumbsup2 This means that I can buy the Sigma through 47th Street on Ebay and pay $400 now and get $100 cashback from Microsoft. Hrmmmmmmm, that would be the best deal yet.

Unfortunately it wouldn't be eligible from 47th Street.. you'll see this when you try...

Maybe you can find another reputable seller on Ebay though...
