just a quick update: spoke with my former HS classmate who tested me for the job, and it's still open, she said "should know something this week". that means i at least still have a chance! please keep those prayers and good thoughts coming-i REALLY want and need this job!

Sending good vibes your way!! I sooooo know what that's like as I just got through a long and tedious interview/typing/testing phase myself for a part time, but permanent govt. job! AND....I Got the JOB!!! I was sooooo relieved and happy, 150 ppl applied for the one position, 6 people where chosen for the interview and I beat out even the casual girl who had been working at the job on wages!!! so don't lose hope, keep positive and good things can and do happen I hope you get it!!

thank you! and congratulations! there were 48 applicants, 16 took the typing test, and according to the wellness supervisor who interviewed me, they were having a difficult time finding people who could even pass the typing test, so hopefully, i don't have much competition! i want this job SO badly!

the call should have come this morning, and the morning is almost over here. i've wished and prayed and hoped for this job for almost 3 weeks....please, Lord, let them call. please, i NEED that job.

UGH! ok, i just realized, this job is at a federal office (operated by US Dept of labor) so they're CLOSED today for Veterans Day! i don't know whether to laugh or cry! no wonder they didn't call!

LOL i'm glad you enjoyed it! if they had a smack the forehead smiley, that would have been me when i realized it. it's not as if i didn't know it was veterans day (DD is out of school today), but i just didn't put the two together. i pray you're right, and the call comes tomorrow!
