We are one week from our Thanksgiving trip! Yay! From here on out I want to hear only good things like:

Magic bands are awesome but aren't affecting lines negatively.

Weather is perfect!

No one is sick at Disney or anywhere else in the world.

CMs are helpful and adding to the magic.

Traffic the day before Thanksgiving in Atlanta will be a breeze.

All of the large tour groups cancelled.

Maybe this time I won't have crazy Disney dreams about things going wrong!! I'm so ready for this vacation. After the year we've had, we need it!!

We just decided weekend before last to go to Disney next week. My daughter's birthday falls on Thanksgiving and she asked to go to celebrate. I almost hesitated, because of all the negativity, but I then I realized, It's Disney it will be great!! Went to Josh's site and let him tell me which park to go to each day, and started looking at ADR's. I'm very pleased with the restaurants and times we've been able to book. The only thing we couldn't get that would have been nice is the Dessert Party, but I'm not giving up on it yet We are very excited and I know we will have a great time!!!

We are here now and honestly, I have nothing but good to report. We arrived last Monday 11/11, and leave this Saturday 11/23.
The magic bands truly are working great. We haven't had any problems with them at all. (If you're using it for room charges, make sure you know your PIN number or reset it at the front desk).
The lines have been so short we have actually cancelled our fast passes or changed them for later times to ride something again. I've went through numerous lines where it was a 5 minute wait purely because it takes that long to weave through the line.
I'm not sure the lines will be that minimal next week, but as of right now FP is not affecting stand by at all. The exceptions I've seen are toy story and soarin. Both of those had at least a 45 minute wait, usually more.
I'd say relax and make your own judgement. We only pulled paper fast passes twice in the past week and both times it wasn't really necessary. It was a situation where it was 30 minute stand by for pooh or dinosaur vs pulling a FP with a return time in an hour and riding another ride in that time.
I quite like having the option of not carrying anything besides my phone in my pocket and the magic band on my wrist if I choose.

Loved everything about MBs and FP+ on our early November trip. We had no issues...none...and are looking forward to using the system again next month.

Yeah is right - I agree! I am a regular of these board and there has been so many negative comments that they are starting to outweigh the positive ones. Thanks for turning it around.

We have been planning this vacation for so long and are so excited.

Magic Express: we know as soon as we step on the bus -- we are officially on vacation for the next 13 days.

Disney transportation: we do not have to drive, pay tolls, find parking, defrost the windows or put gas in our car.

Mousekeeping: they work hard for their money and I do not have to make my bed, change my sheets, wash my towels or clean the tub or toilet.

Tipping: we always tip at the airport, bell services and mousekeeping. We can afford to go on vacation and are grateful for what they do even though they are getting paid as some will say.

Resort: we are staying at POFQ for the first time - our first ever on site stay. We are going to love our stay there.

CM's: we are patient and try to use a good sense of humor. A little smile goes a long way all around. I am sure it there are any issues - it will be resolved to everyone's satisfaction.

DVMCP: we went 10 years ago and loved it. Yes, it may be crowded but we are going to eat at BOG and have a great time the whole night.

Crowds: everywhere I go, there are crowds. There is so much to do and see and everyone is on vacation. We don't mind the crowds.

FP+: we have our FP+ picks for our trip. We are not stressing over them, if the times work they do if they don't they don't.

Food: we are going to enjoy all of our sit down meals. We will find favorites and things that we may not have again. But, we are on vacation and not cooking, grocery shopping or doing dishes.

Photopass +: it will be great to look at all of our pictures when we get home. Vacations don't last forever, but memories do.
