Good News - Anna and Elsa

Did anyone notice on MDE if you search for times next week for A&E they now start at 9am and go until 6pm?

So...does that mean they are starting the M&G at 9 in World Showcase before it opens? Anyone have official word?

What will that mean for the crowds at rope drop? My plan was to do our Akershus breakfast and head right over in time for rope drop around 8:45ish...and wait in line til 11 when it starts. Granted, it would be better to be in line for a 9am start but...I imagine the line will be longer than that.

Any word? Thanks!

ohhhh. I just saw the same thing! we are going to Epcot on the 9th (the day the times change). HOPEFULLY it makes the line go faster!

Thanks for all the updates, y'all. I am as excited to see DD to meet Anna and Elsa as I am to see her meet Sofia - she is OBSESSED! I am ecstatic to see that the meet and greet is going to start at 9am beginning Sunday, February 9, according to the official website!

Someone earlier mentioned that, if you don't have a reservation for an early breakfast, you can still get in early. Reeeeeally? How early? Which entrance?

Also, fwiw, Anna and Elsa are definitely becoming official Disney Princesses this year. (There's an article mentioning this on the Orlando Sentinel website.)

I hope that is the new start time.... I also hope they start extending it past 6pm until around park closing time. Here's hoping they get more of the kinks worked out before our trip at the end of March!

Here is Anna and Elsa in Disneyland. Anaheim is usually warmer than Florida this time of year
so Anna was not wearing her cape. Anna usually has her red cape on, and when very cold her red cap.

I will be at WDW next week to take a lot of photos.

Aww! I love how they are clasping hands. Sisterly love..kind of makes me tear up. My girls are absolutely obsessed. <3 I'm such a sap, lol.

I just called disney and they said right now there start dates have been 11:00. I am trying to decide if I should do a breakfast at askershus for 8 just incase they move the time up to 9. We are going to be in Epcot on March 30.

Crossing all my fingers and toes that they are moving the M&G time up to 9:00.

Honestly, that would alleviate so many problems. The trouble with meeting starting at 11, is that, with people lining up at park open you START with a 2 hour minimum (3 if you are doing an akershus early breakfast) wait. Starting at 9 should start moving people through earlier, so a shorter wait.

I just redid all my reservations for 1 of our Epcot days. I made a reservation for breakfast at akershus for 8, that way if they do change the time we will already be there and we were originally going to send my hubby there for RD for the 11am opening time but this way he will definitely get there close to the front of the line. My son absolutely loves Elsa lol...what we do for our kids lol

According to Kenny they at art meeting for 9 am to 6 pm in a few days time.

And, he's recommending visiting at Rope Drop but not on an EMH morning.

Kenny says this test that begins on Sunday, the 9th, is to see if the early start improves the guests' experiences - as in shorter wait times.

I've been saying for weeks - maybe months that they should start meeting at 9 am - glad to see Disney is finally listening to me :rotfl:

I believe this is seriously going to help improve wait times -at least for the well organized RD families - you can "move it" out there - meet them quickly and go on with the rest of your day. Wish they had done this before we went!
