Good News - Anna and Elsa

Wow! They certainly are popular ladies eh?! I only saw the movie this morning, so I can now understand why, it's fantastic! But sadly, there'd be no way I'd consider waiting that long, DD would have gone crazy by then :(

I second Akerhaus as an option for the two sisters! Think it would be a great idea!

Just hoping we don't have to wait 2+ hours in May to see them...our DD would be super upset if we didn't get to meet them. Hoping they get more Elsa costumes in by then too :goodvibes

Mesaboy - thanks and yes, we had a GREAT time! Looks like there is snow back home so that should be interesting... MialovesAriel - I hate to tell you this but you might as well go in warned - I've never seen the wait less than 2 hours. Even getting in line at Rope Drop for the "11:00 meet and greet" (back when they did specific times) we still waited 2 hours and 20 minutes before we actually got to meet Anna and Elsa. One of the CMs I spoke to today said they were "trying" to make the meet and greets start at 9 am (which I've been saying is the way to go!) but the sticking point is that World Showcase doesn't open until 11. I hope by Sunday they've decided that indeed they need to do still more to get the lines down (they would really prefer everyone not be standing in a long line) and they'll take further action. My fingers are crossed for you!

Ok so I did it!!! Waited 2 hrs and 15 min this morning to meet Anna and Elsa. That's the longest I've ever waited for anything(Not super patient person lol) After arriving last night and attempting to go to HS with our 2 DD's 8 and 4 my DH and I realized that the princesses are the most important thing to them at this age. We will never get this age back(where they are awed by all the pretty princesses) My DD 4 finally realized 5 min before our meet who she was going to meet and was awe struck. It was priceless and totally worth the wait.
Here is how our wait went...arrived at Epcot 810,was 3rd family for rope drop. Sprint walked and ( I was almost at a jog) to Norway, was 6th in line for M&G for 11am slot. At noon wait was 4 hours!!! And I really don't think it was going to slow soon...
I will attempt to post a picture:):)

If they put them in dining they will have to also have them somewhere else outside of dining, which may not be in the budget. Budget plays a huge role in most decisions. They aren't going to make it so the only way to see them is to pay. Can you imagine the uproar? Also in dining they tend to stick to the classic princesses. If they ever do go to Akershus, I wouldn't look for it to happen for several years at least.

I took a huge on-line survey yesterday and there were tons of questions about Anna and Elsa. It asked me questions like if I'd prefer them together or separate, and which one I'd prefer to meet.

i'll add to those who say this isn't good news. we don't need Frozen roulette. :(

Good point. I think in the future, it would be an easy and natural fit, though. It would be nice for them to be in MK too, that way since they are so popular folks would have two options to see them. But money will be the deciding factor, that is true.

I'm hoping they could be added to the current list of 11 "princesses"...don't know how that would work since Elsa is technically a queen, tho :scratchin

I don't see a problem with them adding them to the Princesses, since Mulan has been playing non-stop on Disney Jr. this weekend I realized, she isn't a princess. She is the hero of China and married a soldier. So I vote we add them both in as Princesses. Maybe Disney is waiting so they don't have 13.:scared1:

I just read on Kenny the Pirate that WDW is looking into a building a better meet and greet for them

I imagine if they did that, then they'd have the girls in MK, too, to lessen the blow and not make it a 'pay' thing. But aren't there other characters you can only meet by paying for character meals? Like the Disney Jr. ones in H&V?

When you boil it down, it's just like people paying to see a character in MNSSHP. Not saying I agree with it, but that's how I'd imagine they'd make it seem.

I've lurked this board and others for weeks because my daughter is obsessed with A&E. I couldn't imagine waiting 3-5 hrs and was hoping for a miracle. I thought about rope drop but decided to try our luck in the afternoon after the recent changes. We got in line today at 4:50 and were quoted an hr and a half to 2 hrs which I was relieved at. Our final wait time was an hr and 7 mins. I should note cast member said it was not a busy day at Epcot and this was the shortest waits they've seen in 3 months. Don't give up hope though, I'm glad I didn't.

I would be very surprised if Disney added both of them to the Princess Line Up. Originally Anna was going to become a Princess as she was expected to take the lead and Elsa would slightly fade into the background. However Elsa has proven far more popular than Anna.

Good for you, and :welcome:!

Keep the updates coming. I am watching closely to make sure Disney doesn't make a change right before we arrive.

We are in the world for the week of President's day, and I planned one whole day (Thursday 2/20) around getting to Epcot early enough to wait for A&E for my daughters. My DH thinks I'm nuts, but given the fact that both DD4 and DD7 have memorized every song from the movie, want to wear nothing but their Anna & Elsa costumes and Elsa nightgowns, and haven't requested to see ANY other characters, I figure, we are going one way or another.

DH and I are also running the Princess Half Marathon, and I'm desperately hoping that A&E are somewhere on the course, or in race retreat (which would actually be better, since my DD's will be in race retreat with my parents while we run).

I keep wondering how they will ever stop adding them...my DD has several things with all 11 on them, and it's a little crowded. DD doesn't like to "leave out any princesses because I love them all", and if they add Elsa and Anna that's a lot of faces on one shirt or one night gown!

I also agree that Elsa is WAY more popular than Anna...can't find hardly any Frozen stuff, but when I do it's always Anna stuff and Elsa stuff is sold out. I'd love to see them added, but think they might not...we'll just have to wait and see.

We're also going to be there for PHM and have an 8am Akershus ADR in on the 28th in hopes of seeing them there. I was able to log into MDE and put visiting Mulan and other Epcot princesses in our itinerary, but Anna and Elsa are only there through 2/15 right now. I hope they're still meeting in Norway on 2/28! Our MK days are already full enough without trying to squeeze another must-do M&G in there too.

ETA - I don't mean we hope to see them at Akershus, just in Norway afterwards (1st in line, fingers crossed).

It would be fantastic if Disney would add Anna and Elsa to the Princess Breakfast!!! We do not have that on our agenda, but I would gladly add it if it meant skipping that line!

Here is Anna and Elsa in Disneyland. Anaheim is usually warmer than Florida this time of year
so Anna was not wearing her cape. Anna usually has her red cape on, and when very cold her red cap.

I will be at WDW next week to take a lot of photos.

Does anyone have a picture of the two new princesses they'd like to post!
