Hi Everyone!

I have been trying to do my homework on the Good Neigbor hotels and find myself conflicted as to what are the top 5 closest walking hotels near Disneyland's maingate.

I see that everyone loves Hojos and PPI and Park Vue. And granted not everyone is going to have the same opinon on the locations. But in general, just so i can cast down the first 5 top closest hotels so that my husband and i can make our choice as to where to stay.

We are looking at affordability and mostly cleanliness (because they say it's next to Godliness). =) thanks for your help you guys! :cloud9:

While not the best prices necessarily, I have stayed at the Anaheim Hilton and Anaheim Marriott right by the convention center. For a perspective of walking distance, they were about 15-20 minutes walk each way from the main entrance plaza.

There is a Holiday Inn Express a little closer, Anaheim Ramada Maingate is close and a Best Western also. There are also some local places that I know nothing about. As far as I am concerned, if they are recommending anything as a "Good Neighbor" hotel, I imagine it will be nice for the level of hotel it is.

We stayed at the Tropicana Inn last March & really liked it. The staff was very friendly, the rooms were clean & themed with the tropics, the pool is outside, parking was pretty good (considering we were there during spring break), they have a gift shop/store & also a coffee/pizza place. The pedestrian entrance is about a half-block away.

We've stayed at Ramada Inn Maingate and thought it was all right. It seemed to be pretty clean and the walk wasn't bad.

I know that Desert Inn and Suites isn't a good neighbor hotel but we found it very clean, where our room was located it was quiet, the breakfast was nothing great but we didn't care. We picked it for the location and plan to stay there again.

I would be comfortable staying at any of these:

Desert Inn
BW Park Place
Tropicana
Carousel Inn
Camelot
Fairfield by Marriott
Hojo's

I have stayed at Hojo's, Carousel, and Camelot. I pick by price and Hojo's is the one that I most often find the best price (plus we like the pirate ship and splash area and hot tub)
