I got a quote from Small World Vacations for 3 nights at a good neighbor hotel (suite) with 3 Adults & 1 Child 3-Day PH passes of $1,529.03.

If I book the room directly with the hotel and purchase the ticketes through ARES travel, my total would be $1,318.03.

The additional perks you get by booking the package are:

  • Early entry into Fantasyland - Mon, Tues, Thurs, Sat (One per person)
  • Early entry into Mickey’s Toon Town Morning Madness – Mon, Wed, Fri, Sat (One per person)
  • Preferred Seating at Select Shows (One per person)
  • EXCLUSIVE! Walt Disney Travel Company collectible pin and lanyard (One per person)
  • EXCLUSIVE! Walt Disney Travel Company Commemorative Luggage Tag (One per person)

Are those perks worth the extra $211?

Are you sure you don't get Early Entry with your ARES 3 day hopper?

We did a package last year just to experience MTTMM. It cost us about $200 more and I would not do it again. However, that being said the extra perks gave us experiences that we were glad to have done at least once. If your money is tight and you could use that $200 in your budget elsewhere then you might want to skip it. Perhaps do a character meal instead??? But if the $200 will not prevent you from booking your other "dreams" then go for it just so you can have the experiences once. Not sure this helps. :-) BTW, we REALLY liked our luggage tags -- not for $200 but definitely love them! :)

Also, you might want to price Costco (for a free character meal) and AAA (if you need parking) -- they might be priced the same as Small World. You can get quotes even if you aren't yet members.

I second the Costco recommendation. They use Walt Disney Travel Co., so you also get the same bonuses you mentioned above, but you also get the added bonus of a free Premium Character Meal and a $20 Gift Card.

We did the Costco package last year since it was the most inexpensive deal we could get at the time we were going. The character meal was enjoyed emensely.

I bought tickets off lastminutetravel.com and saved $400 off the TA quote (including discount of booking room direct)! That is a huge difference, and the tickets include the Magical Mornings benefit! Woo-hoo! :woohoo:
