Day 2 Magic Kingdom. After some debate decided to take bus. Was most impressed as arrived just as we reached bus stop and dropped us at MK in just over 10 mins. First stop was Starbucks for quick breakfast of bacon and gruyere rolls (decidedly average)
Fist pic of day - You will notice DH is using Tommy Bahama theme this holiday none of which is approved by me!

Headed off to Tomorrowland for Buzz Lightyear DS won then boys rode Speedway couple of times.
One of only pics you'll see of DS this trip teenagers and photos don't go together at all
We had four FP+ for the day. I selected the three mountains and they threw in a bonus Haunted Mansion for free

First was Space (total brain shake) then we had quick stroll round new Fantasyland. Wait for BOG lunch was 45 mins at well before midday. Didn't envy people queuing as it was really really hot.

We had quick lunch at Columbia Harbour House sandwiches and salad. Managed to substitute dessert for water.
DDP has way too much cake for me. Then on to Haunted Mansion. Love the new hitchhikers. Heat was really building up so headed over to Pirates to cool off. Seems. Relatively quiet day, all waits apart from really popular stuff 20 mins or so. Had to shelter from short rainstorm which is ironic as next FP was Splash Mountain. We put DH at front so me and DS didn't get too wet. Then straight from there to Thunder Mountain for quick dry off.
Weather by then had turned again so we sought shelter in various shops. Our DD is getting married in few weeks so I'm buying up stock of anything Wedding related. Pins, photo frames, baubles. If its got just married on it there's every chance it's coming home with me. With that in mind we paid visit to city hall to see if we could get help with very special request. DD and her new hubby will be honeymooning here in October and her dearest wish was for reservation for dinner at BOG. I have tried and tried but as we all know reservations are snapped way too fast (we struggled for one for us for next week and that was at bang on 180+10) anyway we threw ourselves at mercy of staff there to see if they could help. Bless her the girl on desk tried, she even went to back office to make call but no luck (not end of world DD will just have to queue for lunch) but as she couldn't help she gave us voucher for free bride and groom mickey ears. God bless Disney for amazing customer service. Sadly when we tried to get them we were told there are no groom ears anywhere on property but hopefully they will have them in soon. So we will keep trying.
Made a quick dash through the rain for dinner at Liberty Tree Tavern. Food plentiful and delicious. Salad with strawberry dressing with warm sweet bread rolls. Platter of turkey, pork and beef with stuffing mash and veg and obligatory mac and cheese (yuk) and apple craisin cake with ice cream. Even DS enjoyed which is high praise from him. As still raining we decided to give fireworks and parade a miss and got bus home.
Today am giving the boys a well earned day off for pool time.
