The Oompah band at Biergarten tonight. DS absolutely hated it.

I wasn't impressed with Biergarten either but DH loved it.Do you have a fridge in your room?nice pics.

Morning Lisa, we're following you again today, we're going to MK (If Tom ever wakes up! That's the good thing about FP+ though, we don't have to rush to the parks))

Morning Claire, Same here our FPs are all early afternoon today boys are nearly ready just debating whether to take bus or car. Must try to catch you at some point to say quick hello as we are neighbours this week :)

Hi, yes we do. I asked at check in but by her reaction would say they are all ok :)

Yes definitely! I keep thinking I must be seeing loads of dis people specially from the YC/BC thread but who knows!!

Oh and about the fridges, both rooms we were in had fridges. I was told all deluxes have been replaced.

Day 2 Magic Kingdom. After some debate decided to take bus. Was most impressed as arrived just as we reached bus stop and dropped us at MK in just over 10 mins. First stop was Starbucks for quick breakfast of bacon and gruyere rolls (decidedly average)

Fist pic of day - You will notice DH is using Tommy Bahama theme this holiday none of which is approved by me!

Headed off to Tomorrowland for Buzz Lightyear DS won then boys rode Speedway couple of times.
One of only pics you'll see of DS this trip teenagers and photos don't go together at all

We had four FP+ for the day. I selected the three mountains and they threw in a bonus Haunted Mansion for free :thumbsup2 First was Space (total brain shake) then we had quick stroll round new Fantasyland. Wait for BOG lunch was 45 mins at well before midday. Didn't envy people queuing as it was really really hot.

We had quick lunch at Columbia Harbour House sandwiches and salad. Managed to substitute dessert for water. DDP has way too much cake for me. Then on to Haunted Mansion. Love the new hitchhikers. Heat was really building up so headed over to Pirates to cool off. Seems. Relatively quiet day, all waits apart from really popular stuff 20 mins or so. Had to shelter from short rainstorm which is ironic as next FP was Splash Mountain. We put DH at front so me and DS didn't get too wet. Then straight from there to Thunder Mountain for quick dry off.

Weather by then had turned again so we sought shelter in various shops. Our DD is getting married in few weeks so I'm buying up stock of anything Wedding related. Pins, photo frames, baubles. If its got just married on it there's every chance it's coming home with me. With that in mind we paid visit to city hall to see if we could get help with very special request. DD and her new hubby will be honeymooning here in October and her dearest wish was for reservation for dinner at BOG. I have tried and tried but as we all know reservations are snapped way too fast (we struggled for one for us for next week and that was at bang on 180+10) anyway we threw ourselves at mercy of staff there to see if they could help. Bless her the girl on desk tried, she even went to back office to make call but no luck (not end of world DD will just have to queue for lunch) but as she couldn't help she gave us voucher for free bride and groom mickey ears. God bless Disney for amazing customer service. Sadly when we tried to get them we were told there are no groom ears anywhere on property but hopefully they will have them in soon. So we will keep trying.

Made a quick dash through the rain for dinner at Liberty Tree Tavern. Food plentiful and delicious. Salad with strawberry dressing with warm sweet bread rolls. Platter of turkey, pork and beef with stuffing mash and veg and obligatory mac and cheese (yuk) and apple craisin cake with ice cream. Even DS enjoyed which is high praise from him. As still raining we decided to give fireworks and parade a miss and got bus home.

Today am giving the boys a well earned day off for pool time.

Day 3 decided to have a rest/shopping day so had bit of lie in then spent morning lazing round resort. DH parked himself under a tree with book while DS and I got in couple of inner tubes floated round lazy river for an hour. I was bit surprised to find inner tubes were free as I had heard you had to pay to hire them? To dry off I had a stroll and took a few pics

Was just debating lunch options when thunderstorm started so went back to room showered and took car across to DTD for quick Earl of Sandwich and free Ghiradelli sample ;)

Popped across to Premium Outlets at LBV for some retail therapy. 40% off everything at American Eagle :thumbsup2 got DS few t shirts and DH had usual spree in Tommy Hilfiger then crossed over road to Publix to stock up on few bits and pieces like fruit and diet soda etc

Have to say while I like DDP and refillable mugs etc after only 3 days feel like I will end up with scurvy or something equally bad. I know you can find healthy options but its not always easy and I think it's a shame that only soft drink available in sugar free is coke. It gets bit boring after a while.

Drove back to DTD for dinner at Raglan Road. Eaten there several times over years and food always good. DH had lamb, I had ham an DS fish and chips followed by most delicious desserts
DH had this, could only manage half

DS and I had this. Heavenly

Then quick stroll before back to hotel and bed.

Today am throwing myself at mercy of Universal Guest services to see if I can get tickets replaced. Wish me luck!

Great pictures. YC is a beautiful resort, have you sat in the rocking chairs outside?

Hope you will be ok at Universal :)

Good luck with US :) We're having a lazy morning then HS. Oh and it was about a month or two ago when the lazy river tubes became free :)

Yes it is beautiful. Have only sat in rockers briefly don't seem to have found time yet. Really want to sit there with book :)

We were fine at Universal. Tickets replaced no problem at all. Lady who served us didnt even seem surprised. Think it must happen more than we realise :confused3

Day 4 Universal - first job of day was to call Universal to check if we could get tickets I left at home replaced and exactly what was needed to do that. Turns out was just print off of email DD sent me of tickets and letter that came with them and some photo ID.

As it is free parking for us on site at Disney and it looked busy when we arrived decided to treat ourselves to preferred at Universal $22! Was quick and easy no stewards yelling at you and came out right by bag check :thumbsup2

Headed over to guest services with fingers crossed we wouldn't have problem. Was dead easy. Tickets replaced in seconds. Lady who served us didn't seem slightest surprised. I think they must hear it a lot.

IOA first. Boys rode Hulk, while I enjoyed sun. Then straight so Spider-Man (much improved with new 3D) both 20 min waits. DH was desperate to ride The Bilge Barges so DS and I reluctantly hopped on. As usually couldn't have been any wetter if we had just swam the route! Recommendation of the day is to pay $5 for the people dryer afterwards. It held the 3 of us and worked wonders in taking some of the worst of the water out.

Decided to give ripsaw falls and Jurrasic a miss as didn't want another soaking so headed across to WWOHP. Didn't fail to impress as ever and only 30 mins wait

After quick lunch at fire eaters grill of very average gyros. Hopped across to Universal. First stop was quick walk on to Shrek. Then the new Transformers ride. DS really looking forward to this. Was great until broke down on us we were stuck for 5 mins or more mid air in the dark and then did good portion with no sound. We got free FP as we got off but decided not to go again and used them for Minions Mayhem saving us 70 min queue. Very very cute.

Headed across to Simpsons, impressed with addition of Moes etc. Was just ride last time we visited.

Stopped off at Hard Rock for combo platter and salads (sorry no pics phone was flat) then back to resort for some TV and to get DS back online. Sort you Wifi Universal. DS miserable without it.

Today what will always be known in our house as MGM :)

Great report so far. I'm loving your pictures of the YC.
We had dinner at the Yachtsman and thought what a beautiful resort this is. Even DH was impressed :thumbsup2

Great report from Universal, good to hear you managed to get on the rides without too many queues :thumbsup2

$22 for parking - is it so much nearer than the regular parking?

We were end row Spider-Man 201 i think so just very short walk and we were at bag check. It did seem much quicker and regular parking was $16 anyway. I don't think we would do it normally but as we are on site all other parking is free.

Day 5 and up bright and early again. Decided to get boat to Hollywood Studios as they are quick and frequent. (Must say loving Disney transport system as first timer on site it's very efficient and you have none of the park and ride hassle you do with car) after quick pastry at Starring Rolls first FP of day was my favourite TOT followed by RNR (definitely not my favourite, hate the way your head bangs restraints)

Did Great Movie Ride and Toy Story Mania then heavens opened. As it didn't look like stopping anytime soon we decided to head back to resort and had burger lunch at Hurricane Hannah's. Late afternoon was really thundery. We had booked early dinner to give us time for Fantasmic so had to get the old faithful Mickey Macs and brave the weather. DS decide he would rather stay at resort and use gym so was just DH and me

Dinner was at Sci Fi. I was bit wary as I know reports not always good but DH had steak and I had ribs followed by apple crumble for DH and hot fudge sundae for me and all were delicious.

Was still raining a little when we finished dinner and queue times for all indoor rides were an hour or more so had a quick stroll and then back to resort for some TV

Tomorrow Animal Kingdom
