Good jeans for a "mom jeans" figure?

Jeans shopping was always so disappointing until I found Gloria Vanderbilt Amanda jeans at Kohl's a few years ago. Now when I need a new pair, I just buy those because I know they will fit me. So, no more depressing jeans 'shopping.' lol

The Amanda style has a slight stretch to the material and are very comfortable. They are available in 2 shades of blue jeans, and also in black, beige, kahki, green, and maybe some other colors. The colored ones are the pants that i wear to work.

And the best thing is - just yesterday at Costco, they had a large table of these Gloria Vanderbilt Amanda jeans for only $14.99! The normal price at Kohl's is around $40. I've been sorta needing a new (smaller!) pair of jeans, and was able to pick some up at Costco yesterday. It feels great to be wearing a smaller size jean today - and that they only cost $15. :)

I'll third these. They're compfy, fit well (you don't get a big gap at the back when you have a tummy) and affordable. They're always on sale, I've never paid more then $20 for them.

Oh yes! Gaps long and lean are good too, been awhile since Ive bought a pair. My last ones died a sad death due to a paint related accident. ; )

I also love Gap's Long and Lean style jeans. At the Gap Outlet they are only about $40-45.:thumbsup2

Burlington Coat Factory has these also. Alot of times you can find them for 10$.

I like the GAP curvy jeans....worth every penny. They are even better w/a 30% off code :)

I love Lee stretch jeans from Walmart....they fit so well, and only about 20.00!
Just don't buy low cut jeans, make sure they cover the booty even while sitting!

I second that! At Walmart I get the Riders by Lee, no gap waist/bootcut jeans for only $18. I don't wear low-cut jeans either. I like Chico's jeans, but I only buy those on clearance (they are more expensive too). Oprah recommended the Walmart Lee jeans on her show too (for those who don't want to spend $200 or more on jeans:)

"Not Your Daughter's Jeans" are wonderful. Not cheap (about $116/pr) but worth every penny. They have many different washes and fits. You buy a size smaller than what you usually wear and they fit wonderfully. They also don't look like "mom jeans" especially if you don't tuck in a top. I have a pair of straight-leg acid wash and I wear them cuffed up like capris and they look great. :thumbsup2

AGREED! NYDJ's are great!

LOVE LOVE LOVE my Gap Long and Lean jeans!!!! They changed them within the past year or so and they are FABULOUS!!! They sit just below the belly button, not too hight, but not too low. When you bend over, they actually stay in place!! They are a lighter weight with stretchy material, but still high quality, that allow you to move around, and move with you instead of against you!! I actually donated all my other jeans to goodwill and bought only these because they are soooo comfy and fit so good! Try them, you won't be disappointed!

Another perk, they run big so you get to buy a size smaller than you normally would. Makes me feel skinny!!:rotfl2:

I've purchased 3 pairs of Fit Me or something like that at Coldwater Creek. They're great! I love them. Of course I wait until they go on sale or there are coupons.

I second this. I have lost a large amount of weight, and my stomach is very 'soft', it is easy for it to 'fall over' the front of pants if they are low rise. The Gloria Vanderbilt give me stomach support and look really nice on. I several pair of the kahkis for work. I bought them at Goodwill ($2.50!!), Roses ($10) and TJMaxx ($14.95)

I initially liked the Curvy fit, but they changed this last year and now they look terrible on me. I went to Long and Lean and really enjoyed these until I lost a little bit of belly fat and now they are too big in the waist and they fall down, so now I am really enjoying Sexy Boot. They are a little lower cut, but they still keep everything in check. I don't like to wear a belt because it adds to the bulk and I don't need anything else sticking out so I like Sexy Boot because they fit so good without a belt. I just let the muffin top hang over. :lmao:

oh no....I'm ready for some new ones. I haven't bought any since probably early -mid 2008. I know it was in between my youngest 2, but I have 3 pairs. I'll have to try on new ones...hopefully I can find another style.

I think the change was good! I never cared for the curvy fit, but try the long and lean. Soooooooo comfy, almost like wearing work yoga pants.

I love my Dreamer jeans from Old Navy. I am similar in size and after 2 c-sections have a belly. I definitely understand.

I agree- the Old Navy Dreamer jeans are nice! Their Sweetheart jeans are pretty flattering and very comfortable, too.

I used to have a pair of these that I loved. I think I'm going to have to pick up another pair ;)

I love the Old Navy Sweetheart jeans or the Dickies from Torrid. I think they're truer to size than some of my other pairs.

There is no one pair of jeans that are right for everybody. I say pick a day and head to a large mall in your area. Wear a shirt that you would typically wear with jeans and whatever shoes you would wear with jeans and be prepared to try, try, try. Take several sizes and brands. It is a painful process but well worth it when you find the ones that fit.

I just got a pair of jeans from Torrid. It is a plus size womens store. I wear a size 12 Short jean and I LOVE THEM! They have a thicker waistband so that your booty doesn't hang out when you bend over and they fit so well!

My favorite too! Check ebay for a better price!

My loft jeans are my go to pair.

If you want dressy, DO NOT underestimate a trouser cut. They hide a multitude of sins and can be dressesed up or down.

I agrre about "Not Your Daughter's Jeans". Even my DD liked them when I tried them on, and she is the bigest critic of "mom jeans". Well worth the price.
