Good Idea for Smallish Parties: "Their Day!"

As I was reading a pre-trippie, I got the sudden and undying urge to share this strategy with everyone! :teacher:

This good idea usually works if you have a party that is on the smaller side. Like just you and your family, and definitely not a huge whole-entire-side-of-the-family party. (Oof. We're not doing that again anytime soon. :scared1: )
Anyway, my tip is to have each person have "their day" designated to occur at some time during the trip. For example, they can choose the park(s) to go to that day, what rides to see, and where to eat. I've always been begging my mom for us to go to MK in the morning, Epcot at night, then eat at Kona and monorail hop that night. It's foolproof! :stir: I think it could ease up on the confusion as to what the whole party can agree upon. Each person can get exactly, or as close as they can get to 'exactly', what they want to get out of a day in WDW!

Try it! :grouphug:

Fantastic idea - we do this when we travel on our birthdays but we should really do it on every trip!

We did something similar this year. Gran wasn't coming with us, and we weren't fussed where to go on what day, so after reading everything, and looking at the DVD (the boys did that a LOT), we each picked our favourite ride, then put our names in a hat, and got Gran to pick them out one by one.

So, DS6 was first, and he'd chosen Splash Mountain, so it was MK first, and he got to choose the first 6 rides (*** that's his age) .
Then DS8 was drawn next, and he'd chosen Dinosaur, so it was AK day2, and he chose first8 rides.
Next was Dad, who'd chosen Haunted Mansion, but that was all we let him choose, I did the itineray for DHS, and poor mum was last, and I had of course chosen Soarin'.

Gran really enjoyed being part of the decision making with us, and we left her the guidebooks, DVD's and itineray too so she could live our holiday whilst we were away.
