Good idea for backyard, instead of a pool

DH & I were talking about this, and although he thinks its not such a good idea...I love it! We have a pretty long backyard, so my theory is, instead of getting a pool, we should get a lazy river put it! Only 3 ft deet, whatever, and you can float around your backyard. Wouldn't that be fun! Then you could put a little bridge over it in places to get to other parts of your yard. It would probably be expensive, but how fun!

Sounds like a cool idea, but after all is said and done, the pool would probably be less expensive and you would enjoy it more and get more use out of it. JMO.

I think it's a great idea. I never enjoyed diving or swimming, but could spend hours in a lazy river.

I love that idea. You could always make both of you happy and have a pool put put in and have the lazy river go through the pool and out on the other side! I'm coming to your house though! LOL

LOL I think its a cool idea....we are not getting either one though - lazy river or pool..maybe if we lived somewhere warm, but in Chicago area, and for how much we actually swim, not really an option. Just thought it was neat idea though, and wanted to share.

DH claims that if he wins the lotto, he's putting a lazy river all the way around the house. It would never happen where we live - it's not even feasable and he's never bought a lottery ticket in his life - but it's fun to dream!
