Good hotel for 5??

Hi all,

My family (3 children ages 10, 9 and 3) needs to find a hotel for the night we fly into Orlando (late). We are looking for something inexpensive, CLEAN, and preferably one that offers a breakfast, continental or full.

Can anybody recommend something for us? My head is spinning with all the options out there. I've literally spent the entire day today on the internet.

I am seriously considering using Priceline, but I am concerned about getting a room with a maximum of 4. What would happen in that case? Has that happened to anyone before?

Definitely, if you use priceline, bid for 2 rooms. I've read several posts on TravelSheryl's site about folks expecting to be able to put 5 in a room, only to discover that there is only one king bed and no cots on the premises. Remember, Priceline guarantees accomodations for two, NOT two beds; you could end up with a room with one double bed only! (Or one queen or one king, not necessarily two beds, but maybe two doubles or two queens.)There's just no way to know what you'll get until it's already been charged to your credit card. However...if you are looking for a great hotel, try comfort suites maingate east. Go to www.choicehotels.com and see what the rates are...in Jan 2001 we got a separated-room suite with two queen beds and a queen sofa sleeper for $58/nite. Search this board for my review, but with plenty of space, in room coffee, fridge and microwave, great pool and great, free b'fast buffet, you can't go wrong.

Thanks leebee for your recommendation on the Comfort Suites Maingate East. I checked them over on their website - looks great! Actually booked a room with them this morning - the cost was $67.50 plus tax through choicehotels.com for the night of May 10.
