Good Harry Potter book 5 price?

Borders (amazon) is pre-ordering HP book 5 on-line for $17.99 and says you will recieve it on June 21st, the day it arrives on the shelves. I was wondering if anyone knew of a better price, or if I should trust them that the book will arive on time?

I preordered from Barnes and noble. don't remember the price. they gave me a free upgrade to guarantee that the books (I ordered 2) will be delivered on the 21st.

I haven't seen it any cheaper. We ordered it from Amazon for the same price but opted for free shipping so we won't get it on the release date. Oh well! Amazon DID allow me to type in 2 friends e-mail addresses and they gave them a discount if they ordered the same book. So, at least SOMEONE got a discount.

We actually ordered 2 books so that we could donate one to our library. They have a very long list of people waiting to check it out but weren't sure if their budget would even allow them to buy it!! We use the library a lot so this is just a way to give back a little.

I ordered from Amazon for $17.99. Standard Shipping, which will ensure that you get the book on 6/21 (the day it arrives in stores) is $3.99. I think my total was like $21.98. I can't wait!

Sam's Club is a good idea. We're going to be down at Old Key West Resort on the 21st and my family is looking forward to getting the book while we are on vacation. I didn't want to try to figure out how to get Amazon to deliver the book to WDW, so looking at Sam's Club is a great plan.

Buy.com has it a little cheaper. I think it's $16.19. I'm not sure if it will arrive on the 21st or not.

DH and i need to get cracking and finish the fourth book! i've read it, but it was a long time ago...and this is DH's first time reading it...i've been reading the books out loud to him...i guess we'll be reading a little bit each night now!

Thanks everyone for your responses. I can't decide if I want it delivered so I don't have to go out and fight crowds to get it, or if I want an excuse to leave DH in charge of the baby and get a break and go out and get it!

I pre-ordered from Borders. It was 40% off, so it would also be $17.99. They have a midnight opening, which I'm considering going to, but now you're making me think about Amazon! My friend just called Borders yesterday and they said they overbooked the pre-orders! (With a pre-order from Borders, there's no advanced payment required.)
