Good Grocery Store Options Near Riviera

Looking for suggestions on good grocery stores with good produce convenient to Disney Riviera resort.

My go-to for Disney World, no matter which resort I'm staying, is the Publix at Water Tower Shoppes in Celebration. https://www.publix.com/locations/1431-water-tower-shoppes It's only about 15 minutes on average from any resort but probably less for Riviera. They have good produce and pretty much everything.

You will have to leave Disney property. There is a Walmart Supercenter, a Target, and a Publix along Hwy 192 between World Drive and SR 429. The Publix mentioned above is the other direction on 192, not far past I-4. There is also a Publix at the point where World Drive comes to a dead end to the south. None of them are terribly far from Riviera.

We always use the Winn Dixie just off of South Apopka Rd Basically you go past Springs and down through Hotel Plaza Blvd. turning left at the light. go a couple blocks and the Winn Dixie is on the right. This works out great because there is a great wine and liquor store next door and a Walgreens across the street. This is easy if you are at the Riviera as you will turn right when you are leaving the resort and follow that road all the way with just the left hand turn onto Apopka.

Address is 11957 S Apopka Vineland Rd if you want to google it.

This location may or may not eventually be converted to an Aldi. Aldi's is in the process of purchasing Winn-Dixie & Harveys Supermarkets from their parent company (Southeastern Grocers).

Good to know. There is also a Publix on further down the same road but we just use the Winn Dixie for convenience.

We like Publix and shop at whichever one is most convenient. The Publix app is excellent for putting your list together - even tells you where on the back wall (left, right, center) your item is, in addition to aisle numbers for other items. Makes shopping trips quick and easy. PS their deli makes great sandwiches too.

Based on our last two trips and with multiple inputs from family who also agreed to this analysis here is a quick map of good (green) and trouble (orange/red) zones -



That Walmart (seems to be the closest for many and Kidani/Jambo) was a madhouse for us and our family. Drove east to others including Walmart, Target, Publix, etc. and had no issues. Until I have issues in the future, I'll keep going east even if it's a longer drive.

Great store. Went multiple times for things the family needed.

I was shocked at how good the fried chicken is.

Our favorite Publix is the one at 14928 E. Orange Lake, just north of Hwy. 192. Easy to get to and from via Osceola Pkwy., avoiding the worst congestion on 192 and I-4.

I'm going to piggy back on this post and ask for those who used Publix at Water Towers - do they use paper or plastic? It's an odd question but we are doing grocery pickup via Instacart and if it's plastic bags I'm going to pack some reusable ones to help store (in the vehicle AND in bell services) if our room isn't ready...

Thats the Publix we go to when we stay at Riviera, when we stay in the MK area, we follow Floridian way to the end and turn right, a couple miles on the right is another really nice Publix as well.
