Good grief it's hot.

104F right now. I thought it would be a good idea to go out for a burger. Big mistake. The heat made me sick to my stomach. Eating at home until September..LOL.

The last couple days we had the Severe Thunderstorm Watch, with only one day of rain it was a good one though lol.
Next week looks like it’s the beginning of what I call Hell’s front porch season lol.

Monday is going to feel like 47°C here (Toronto area), which is 117°F. School is still in session and majority don’t have air conditioning in my city. I’ll be working in one and kicking myself over that!!

Heat index here is called humidex, no idea why we use different terms for the same thing!

...meanwhile, here in Calgary... :umbrella::cold: We get practically all our annual rainfall in the month of June. As we like to say "the farmers need it". We've had quite a few nice days this spring (temps in the low 20's C) but summer doesn't really kick in until mid-July. And it's apparently snowing in Lake Louise this morning.

Any chance they would close schools there? That sounds dangerous!

Heat index 114° here today. DD in Florida heat index was cooler.
Suppose to be hotter tomorrow and stay hot till Wednesday.

My SIL is having a garage sale in this heat. She is a good woman.

I closed all the window curtains last night. And have the 2 main room fans going. Our kitchen light actually was dimming and brightening today.

Yeah as crazy as weather has gotten in other parts of the country the past few years, Florida just seems to be the same basic hot/humid weather we always get, maybe slightly warmer some days than usual

No, they won’t. They really should but they won’t :(. There are usually a couple spaces that air conditioned such as the library and front office. Classes will take turns in there throughout the day, usually getting one 40 minute period in the cooler space.
