I'm trying to plan first trip for next September for 4 of us. DS will turn 10 when we're there. I know there is no quarantee for the free dining. So how do you get codes? Sorry if this has been asked a million time.s

Are you planning for Sept. 2008 or 2009?
If for 2009, order the planning DVD and sign up for Disney Newsletters etc. to hopefully receive a code.

The current Free Dining was first offered to those staying on WDW site last Aug/Sept during free dining. In that offer the last date for first day of stay was Sept 27, 2008. The offer again was made to Disney Visa holders via an email this spring, sorry I don't recall the exact date think mid April, 3 days later it was available to the general public and still is until June 22 (I think). The dates are from late August thru Sept 20 for the first date of stay. If your first day of stay is Sept 20, you will receive the free dining for your entire trip. This offer is listed on WDW site as well as Mousesavers.com. It has also be in our local Sunday newspaper travel section (NJ). You could book the room and just upgrade to the free dining if offered. Just to let you know the free dining requires a 3 day minimum stay as well as a purchase of at least a 1 day pass for the parks. You also pay rack rate for the room - no room discounts are allowed to obtain the free dining. The way to make the best savings is to book a Value Hotel. Sometimes with the higher priced hotels, a room only discount code is out there that could make it cheaper to use that discount instead of getting the free dining. Hope this helps.
