We'll be heading over to Disney-MGM after AK closes on Saturday and was wondering what is a good counter service restaurant at MGM. We've eaten at Pizza Planet and ABC Commissary so I'm looking for something else. Thanks!!!!!!:D

The Farmer's Market stands on the way to the Tower of Terror have good quick eats. Hot dogs, pizza and stuff.

If you are in the mood for great tuna subs the place over between Indy and Star Tours has fantastic tuna salad sandwiches. They also had frozen cokes which my DD loved!

I can't remember the name , but one of the stands near ToT has great vegetable soup. We have gotten it twice. It is extremely hot so be careful. I love to get this and share with my kids to get some veggies in them since they usually live on chicken and fries for days on end on vacations. Last time we were there in march I got a bowl and carried it into eat while we waited for Fantasmic.

If you're looking for a snack and not a meal, check out the Tune-In lounge at the 50s Prime Time Cafe. Fried creme cheese with raspberry sauce or onion rings w/ horseradish sauce, or fries with gravy (trust me!) or any of their other appetizers, shakes, drinks, all served at a counter. Same ambience as Prime Time, only quicker and cheaper.

Also, I second Anaheim Produce on Sunset Blvd. Good fresh fruit!

I almost forgot!!!
The BEST deal at MGM!
Starring Rolls bakery lunch special: Paninni sandwich, bag of chips, and a medium soda for $6 and some change. For the same price, you could get a lousy portion of fish and chips (with NO drink) at the ABC Commisary.
The sandwich has cheese, ham, lettuce, tomato, and paninni bread with sun-dried tomatoes and herbs. There may be other meats, I'm not sure, I didn't ask.

That one sounds good. I'm going to try to remember it. I get so tired of burgers and fried foods at Disney. Do others feel the same?

I would also recommend the stands on Sunset Blvd. We personally love the chili dogs!
