Good dinner choices for 23 high school students?

DH & I are bringing a high school group of 23 students to Orlando in November. We're doing a Sea World organized trip, but after that we need two good, relatively inexpensive, restaurants for dinners after long days at Universal and IOA. They will be hungry! LOL!

Anyone have any suggestions? We're staying at the Fairfield Inn & Suites on Canada Drive.

We're considering Friday's Front Row Sports Grill. Is it suitable for teenagers?
Any other places? Any City Walk choices that are better than others?

Thanks to anyone who can help!

CJ, I answered your post on the other board, but I'll answer it here too.

CityWalk has something called Movie and a Meal that's $21.95. You eat off a selected menu in most of the restaurants (includes drink, meal, and tip) and also get a ticket to whichever movie you want to see at the movie theater in CityWalk.

Since the park hours will probably be shorter in November, this might provide the meal and evening's entertainment without having to make an additional stop.

Here's the link (it has a link to the menus too). http://www.universalorlando.com/cw_theater.html

ETA: As far as Friday's goes, you might want to check www.restaurant.com. They currently have their certificates on sale. You can actually get one worth $25 for $5 right now or one worth $10 for $1.50. The code is PICTURE and expires 8/12. There are some rules about use, so be sure to read them carefully before buying anything (like one per party, etc.).

I've gone to the restaurants.com site, but am confused. Beside the Friday's Front Row it says that the coupons are only good Mon-Thur. But when I go to purchase a $375 certificate (for $75 which would be amazing!) there is no specification about restaurant choices, dates, etc. We will be there Saturday & Sunday nights.

Also we're Canadian, so I'm unable to register.

Can you make sense of this for me? Thanks in advance for your help!

this is what a homie told me. hope it helps.

If you are staying on Canada Ave. off of I-Drive, you can go
up I-Drive and eat at CiCi's Pizza. The buffet is less than $5 and
sodas are like around $1.20, so you can feed a bunch of hungry high
school kids for $150. The next night you can find a nice sit-down
place on I-Drive.

Front Row is a TGIFridays with a HUGE sports bar attached to it and it's ALWAYS super busy. I think the group would probably like it as they have games and such for them to play. If you decide that's where you want to go, you may want to call ahead and see if they take reservations.

No, sorry, but I'm very new to the site myself. In fact, I just bought my first certificate a couple of weeks ago. I'm planning on buying one for Friday's before our trip to Universal in November.

Why don't you post on either the community board or the budget board with the following title - Restaurant.com certificate question. There may be people on there who have used them more who might be able to help you. Also, you might try calling the restaurant.

One comment after reading the previous poster concerning how busy it is. You may have a hard time getting that many people seated if the restaurant is that busy (particularly on a weekend).

Good luck!

ETA: This is how I think it works (but I could be wrong). If you bought the $375 gift certificate, you would be able to go through the site and buy various certificates that add up to the $375 total, but you would have to buy each certificate according to the rules for each restaurant.

For example, you wouldn't be able to use the entire $375 for Friday's because they only have the $10 and $25 certificates. You could only buy one of them (one per party allowed, once per month, and only good on the days you listed). The rest of the money would have to be spent somewhere else (according to the other restaurants' guidelines).

I don't think you'll be able to purchase a $375 certificate for Friday's. The certificate would be for the restaurant.com site. At least that's what I got out of it. :upsidedow
