Try to make an honest assessment of what clothes you'll need. Spend the $ on a few good quality pieces you'll wear constantly (work pants, church dress, etc.). Try to use things you already have, like cardigans which don't have to be buttoned. Try a belly band over your regular pants for a few months. Try second hand shops. For what you have to buy, Target, Kohls and Old Navy have maternity sections (or did 3 years ago.). Some outlet malls have maternity stores. Don't be shy to ask about sales and coupons.

Ebay is my suggestion I've sold plenty and bought plenty of maternity jeans and shorts from Ebay for friends simply because the price is so high. So gently used ones get recycled back onto ebay after they don't fit friends anymore. You can also check goodwill or places like Burlington Coat Factory, Ross, Buy Buy Baby, Target and children/maternity consignment stores. Online sources too like re-hash and other clothing trading sites.

Ebay has been where I buy just about everything. Just got a maternity bathing suit top off of there for less than $10. It would have cost me at least $10 more for retail.

I try to find out the brands and what sizes I am in each brand and hit sales online. Motherhood stores are usually tiny because they're at the way back of the Pea in the Pod "boutiques" (read: overpriced) but online selections are much better. With DS, I went to Motherhood, tried on their Secret Fit Belly jeans and ordered online.

Also, not sure about other outlet malls but I know one of the ones in Orlando has a Motherhood outlet. Maybe check out other ones around you.

But my first place to look? Ebay.
