Does anyone know of a good deal on luggage? I am not looking for top of the line nor the bottom. I'd like a set of nested upright, wheeled luggage and I'd like the wheels to be good quality. We bought DH good luggage because he travels so much, but for the kids and me, inexpensive luggage will do. I've seen a set of 5 pieces for as little at $50 (Office Depot) but it's pretty cheaply made (of course). I've been told (based on a Reader's Digest article) that the Costco brand (Kirkland?) is inexpensive ($100 for set) but has a good wheel base. Any other leads?

Kohls is having a big sale. I noticed luggage marked down but didn't check it out. If you have a Kohls nearby it may worth a look!

I read in Consumer Reprots awhile back that Penney's brand luggage is considered a "good value" for price/durability.

We got some at Sam's a few years ago and it has held up well.

Have you checked out ebags online. I bought a couple of carry ons at a good price. My brother and his wife bought there set of 5 pieces for either 149 or 99. can't remember which one. I bought mine at Penney's last year on sale.

www.ebags.com does have a sale going on now. It's a very large site and free to log on to.

If you log on to www.smarterliving.com they can give you a 10% off and free shipping at ebags.

God bless, best wishes, and encouragement, RaySharpton:)

I have a couple of Penney's rolling bags, they have held up as well as some of my more expensive luggage. I think the quality is quite good, especially for the price. One of my Penney's bags has over 50,000 air miles on it, and still looks pretty much brand new :)

I have Ricardo Beverly Hills luggage. It's sold at Kohl's and probably other department stores too. I have a bunch of pieces - a HUGE upright, a rolling duffel, a smallish upright, a carryon and two toiletry kits (one of them has a hook so you can hang it up in your hotel bathroom, it's pretty nifty  ) Mine are bright red, so they're easy to pick out at the baggage claim.

These are pretty inexpensive, Kohl's has them on sale a lot. And they definitely hold up - mine have been to Cleveland, Orlando, Boston, Los Angeles, and Germany and they're none the worse for wear after 3 or 4 years. They roll really nicely too.

I just purchased a five piece nested set from Target. Reg. $89.99 on sale for $74.99. I have them at home so I'm not sure what brand. But they are great and they are expandable - bonus.
