Looking to see if there are any good counter service places at MGM Studios.

For the most part, all the CS restaurants @ MGM are mediocre. Your best bet is to look at the menus on www.allearsnet.com and find the place that has what you deem acceptable to your personal taste.

We've always enjoyed Backlot Express, everything else is mediocre at best!!

2 places in MGM that we've enjoyed are Backlot Express and the Flatbread Grill. At BE (over the past few trips) we've had the double cheeseburger, sesame chix salad, grilled turkey & cheese & the grilled veggie sandwich and everyone liked all of them. At FG we've had the BBQ pork, chix caesar wrap & the greek salad & DS has had the kids grilled chix wrap. All were good there too. The FG seemed to have a couple of decent desserts too, IIRC.

HTH!

MGM really doesn't have good counterservice. I'd recommend Pizza Planet which I always go to.

We've sworn off hamburgers of any kind at cs at Disney. I probably should continu trying but I got one at a CS kinda near Tower of terror and it was terrible. MY hubbs had the same experience in epcot. I'm not sure we will even go to those places again for anything - too much else to choose from.

We always eat pizza planet - not like wow what a wonderful pizza but you can get a salad and pizza and desert, more than enough food. and it is good. I dont think I've tried anywhere else.

Backlot Express has ok food. Pizza planet pizza is just like any of the fast food pizza places in Disney. Good is your starving and have not other choice at the time.

MGM is the only park that does not have a GREAT counter service place to eat.

The grilled Vegetable sandwich at the Backlot express was very good but that was about all we found at MGM that was worth eating

My famiy and I agree that none of the MGM counter service is worth the money. Unless you're on the dining plan it can be a really expensive meal just for less than mediocre food. We go to Mama Melrose instead since its not that expensive. Try the flatbreads, very good and filling. Otherwise we wait to eat until we park hop to the other parks.
