Good cooking bourbon

I need recoomendations on a bourbon that will be good for cooking but also the occasional cocktail. I drink gin and my DH likes Scotch so we have no experience with bourbon. But, I have some Christmas dinner recipes that call for bourbon in sauces, marinades, etc. I want one that will be tasty but not outrageously expensively but not so cheap that nobody would like a cocktail later on.

Thanks!

Don't know about cooking but I like Makers Mark for drinking. I wouldn't consider it terribly expensive, their are cheaper but their are definitely more expensive also.

Maker's Mark was the first thing that came to mind. Good bourbon adds a lot to recipes, good stuff!

The best cooking bourbon is the one you enjoy siping after the cooking is done.

I only drink Woodford Reserve. And I only drink it once a year. With mint simple syrup.

A chef said you should cook with the stuff you enjoy drinking. For example, don't use cooking sherry because it's too salty -- the stuff you cook with should taste good enough to drink.
