Good beer recommendations at Epcot and DAK?

In EPCOT try Rose & Crown in the UK area; there is also sometimes an outdoor stand with a number of things on tap (Stella, Bass, etc.) between Canada and UK. In Germany there is a small beer stand, a few things on tap. Almost all the TS restaurants will also serve national items (i.e. Canadian beer at Le Cellier). In DAK I think it is mostly American beer, though they may have something at either Tusker house or new Y&Y. FWIW.

I like the beer in Japan (Kirin, I think), and DH and I have enjoyed a beer at the Dawa Bar that had a name like Safari Amber Ale (ok, so it was something remotely like that!).

Thanks!

I'm very picky about beer and I'd love to walk around Epcot with a nice cold something that's not bud, miller, etc...

Can't wait to try the African Ale you mentioned!

Ohhhh....try the beer in Norway! (I can't remember the name, it was the second stop in our beers around the world tour)!!!!:rotfl2:

From October 2007, I can recommend the following:

AKL:

Windhoek and Castle lagers were good (I gave Windhoek the nod, you may not). Casa Lager was just ok, same with Tusker.......just ok.

Believe it or not, the Safari Amber (Anheiser Busch product) is pretty good and available at all bars at AKL. I enjoyed this most days by the pool.

Epcot: Head straight to Germany and get you the biggest Weissbier available. LOL. In fairness, I have found that most of the countries in Epcot have decent beer. Just to recommend one, try the Tsing Tao at the beer kiosk outside the China Pavilion. It is an excellent lager IMO. The brewery was originally founded by German missionaries in Quingdao circa 1903. It is especially nice on draft (which I have difficulty finding here in Houston area).

Regards,

The Ringes sp? used to be fantastic in Norway...now it is Carlsburg... not bad, but not as good as the Ringes

I really enjoyed the cider beer that they have at Rose & Crown. Last year when we were there my friend and I thought we would have a drink at each of the countries. "Drink the World" is how we phrased it! And the only country I couldn't stand was America cuz I had to have Miller Lite!!!

At DAK, the Safari Amber is quite tasty, everything else is the standard stuff you'd find anywhere. The Imperial Sampler at Rose and Crown in the UK is quite fun, they give you Bass, Harp, Stella, Boddington's, and Guinness and tell you different ways that you can mix them together. In Japan, Kirin Ichiban is quite good, as is Bohemia in Mexico, and pretty much everything (Lowenbrau et al) in Germany is great.

I agree with babybemama on everything you've said, nice call!

Always get a Becks dark at the outside stand in Germany to watch Illusions
