Good Beach to stay at for one night on the way to Disney

Just wondering if anyone has any recomendations for a Beach Hotel somewhere off 95 heading into Orlando. We are coming from NC, and really want to split the trip up a bit. I looked at Brunswick Ga. Beaches, St. Augustine, and also the Daytona Area. I just want somewhere in a safe area, oceanfront with a pool. That is why I'm a little iffy about Daytona. We have made the NC to Orlando trip more times than I can count, but this will be the first time we make a pit stop. Im clueless...any suggestions would be so appreciated!
