in disney there are good and bad resteraunts.
1. tell me a dining experience for you that was bad then tell me a good one i will go first.
bad: a bad dining experience was when we went to artist point (i normally love artist point but this was not a good experience) i had gotten this beef steak and i ordered it medium well and it was medium not what i asked for too pink! and i didn't know it i took one bite and ran to the bathroom and was there for 45 minutes. (i am sure you can guess what i was doing) then we went back to the hotel and i was ******* in the ice bucket for 3 hours starting at 2:30 a.m. but after that awful experience i still love artist point!
good: a good dining experience was when we went to boma. wonderful food, great people, great service, just an all around great dining experience.

Hi Disneydancer,

We made our first trip to WDW in August and after a gruelling travel day coming all the way across the continent our VERY BEST dining experience of the trip was had that first evening at Boma. We remember it so fondly more for the pixie dust thrown on us by the wonderful server we had than because we liked the food (although it was fine). That guy helped us salvage a very, very stressful day and got us off on a good foot at Disney.

We would consider the dinner we had at the Garden Grill Harvest Festival a GOOD one, this time more for the food and the (blessedly) calm, quiet atmosphere. Our service there was nothing to write home about but we highly recommend this place for a respite from the hectic pace of Disney and for good, solid food that everyone in the family will like (ham, roast beef & turkey, mashed potatoes, gravy & fresh vegetables).

Dinner on the other two nights of our trip were decidedly BAD: Ohana (Surprised? We sure were!) because the entire Polynesian Resort was a roaring madhouse and our "cousin" tried so hard to be friendly that she was just bizarre. The hair on the back of my neck is standing up just thinking about her. Sci-Fi Dine In Theater was simply awful all around - a bad table inside a huge, loud cavernous room, a server who seemed not to even register our presence and lousy, lousy food. To add insult to injury this was far and away the most expensive meal of the trip - God bless the DDP - I would NOT have been happy paying over $100.00 for that experience.

Annette

P.S. Fun idea for a thread!

Okay...I'm in.

Let's see.
The only bad experience we ever had wasn't really all that bad. It was last year during the Free Dining and we had decided to eat at San Angel Inn for my DD's birthday. Everything was mediocre at best. We checked, were told it wouldb eabout 25 minutes before we were seated, then watched several other people who came after us get seated before us. It seems as though we were forgotten about and when we were FINALLY seated we got an apology from no one. The tables were too close together and our server hadn't a clue. When I told him we were on the DP, he had no idea what were talking about. The food was okay, but I can get better here at home.
The whole experience wasn't horrid, but because of that night, we won't be eating there again soon.

Other than that every dining experience we've had at WDW has been a great one. :)

I have to say we didn't have a bad experience anywhere. However, we didn't enjoy Ohana's. The food was nothing great and the meat was tasteless. We have had many great meals in WDW! Our favorite so far has to be a toss up between Le Cellier & Boma! We love them both! :thumbsup2
