Good affordable panties that don't ride up????

Not making any judgements here, but sometimes poor fit doesn't have as much to do with the undies as much as the wearer thinking she's smaller than she actually is.

If your drawers ride up, try going up a size or two. Underwear size isn't always commensurate with trouser size.

I am a size 8 as well. I do not like silk underwear so providing you like cotton, I have found that the best ones for me are the cotton bikinis from Target. They are mix & match 5 for $20. I get the ones that are the most plain looking--can't really speak to the ones with lace and whatnot--but these work well for me in a size medium.

I wear the Hanes comfortsoft.

I have noticed, there's two different crotches. One is more traditional bikini with a skinny crotch and the other has a much wider crotch. I know I shouldn't, but I check every package before buying. I originally bought about 4 packs and have some of both. Now I look for the wider ones because they don't give wedgies like the skinny ones. There's a good inch or more difference in size.

The packaging is exactly the same, so I don't know why there's two different cuts to the design.

Have you tried Jockey brand?

I decided to give these another try and order two pair online. They had really great reviews. These are defintely not the same Jockey brand found in the stores around here.

I am in love with Soma panties. I buy the vanishing edge line, no lines and no riding up . They have very thin line of silicone on the edge, you can't feel it and it keeps those bad boys in place.

Didn't order today, but definitely will. I would like to see them in stores first. I'll be near one of the stores in January, so, I'm holding out and putting away my Christmas money. (Not sure how I'm going to tell my MIL that I bought panties!:rotfl:

I found these olga panties: http://www.herroom.com/olga,panties...c6693ae7e104&gclid=CJvcl7mmoK0CFQpV7Aod6hijoA

...him you will wear the VS panties everyday when he wears a man's thong everyday.

I ordered them! You found them. Obviously, I didn't care too much what DH thought. My Olga's got worn out! And actually he got some pretty nice looking and feeling panties, but OMG, 10 minutes and wedging they went.

What kind did he get you from VS? They make quite a few designs. These are very comfortable and never ride up.

I'm size 8, but curvy.
I order my VS undies from online only. Never the plain old cotton.
I get the body by victoria brief or bikini.
LOVE them. stretchy, cover everything. i can only find them online though. i usually try to stock up when i see free shipping online for no minimum order or $25. They are more expensive than their 6/27 deal though - but worth it.

Great suggestions. I do need to stop in again. I used to love the Body by Victoria line, then it changed. And a couple of times a year they have great sales.

:rotfl: If I go up a size, they'll be at my ankles! (Sorry, but I know what size I am in trousers and most time undies. I just have a curvy [and maybe a bit saggy] bottom.):rotfl: For what it's worth, I usually wear a size 4/6 in nicer dress pants and I don't wear anything tight.:rotfl:

Thank you all for the suggestions. It is my mission over the next month to find the perfect panty for me (and stop whining and being uncomfortable.):thumbsup2Wishing all a wedgy free 2012!!!

Do you have a Costco membership? I love the panties they have there, I get a pack of 6for $10 and they don't ride up and no panty line!

I am in love with the Soma vanishing edge too! They are comfortable and they make some sexy versions with lace too in several different styles and cuts.

I tried tons of underwear prior to these at prices from $3 to $20 and these, while not cheap ($15 a pair) are worth it to me. No worrying about riding up or seeing my panty line through my dress, etc. LOVE THEM!

I love Jockey 100% cotton French cut also. I've been wearing that brand and cut for 15 plus years. If you have a Jockey outlet around, you can usually snag a pretty good deal on them. If not, you can keep an eye out for a sale at Kohl's, Macy's, etc.

I have found Lands End ladies briefs to stay put......
I totally agree! I loved LE briefs. When I went to replace mine about a year ago, it appeared that they are not available anymore. Too many returns? If people ordered two different sizes and sent the size back that didn't fit, would they be able to sell the returns?

Wishing all a wedgy free 2012!!!
Tag-worthy! :lmao:

My new favorites are Maidenform microfibers at JCPenney. They come in a few different styles, including hipster and boy short. Super comfy, they don't ride up and they're actually stylish and sexy!

I like thier brand also. they have some that are really cute. I think they have a line called flirtitude or something like that. they stay put and do not ride up.

I'm not sure I've ever had panties "ride up" before. Are you sure you're all buying the right size? :confused3 Either that or I'm just not aware of it, lol!

I have always worn Victoria's Secret hipsters or cheekies. I care most about invisible panty lines than anything else, lol.

:thumbsup2 Ditto.

Stumbled on these when I needed a nude-colored pair for some white shorts and really liked them. Plain, simple but not old-lady-ish. Very sweet of you to consider your husband's opinion, I wouldn't give a darn what my husband thought of them. He's not the one wearing them.

I can't say that I've ever had a pair of undies "ride up" on me and I do not stick with one style/brand.

Thongs. Once you wear them, you'll never go back to anything else. :thumbsup2

I agree with that also. But I also like to wear silly pairs. I have undies with a Jack-o-lantern on the hind end, many Halloween themed ones. Christmas ones. and my Mickey and Minnie pairs.

Agreed. Anything else feels like too much now, except for....

Maybe it's the cut that isn't working for you. If you get undies that are designed for your body shape that can help. I need french cut, boy shorts that are cut high and sometimes a hipster since I have wide hips. My friend with some junk in the trunk likes thongs and bikinis.

My favorite brands are the Barely There from Kohls and Hane's Sporty briefs.

Also, your panties could be riding up because they are too big. I have a pair of boyshorts that stretch out too much and ride all over the place on me but the same brand in a different pattern/color don't so that at all.

Good luck with the panty search!
