We are going in September and plan to make a few ADR's. Are there any places that have adult entrees that kids would enjoy? I'd tell the server my girls were going to split the plate. They didn't seem to like any of the kids meals last trip except chicken nuggets from Cosmic Rays. They will be 4.5 and 2.5 when we go. Don't get me wrong they enjoy the kid classic meals like pb&j and mac and cheese but they get tired of them and we are not doing the DDP. My youngest is not picky at all and will eat things that many children won't. My older girl is more like a traditional kid who is harder to please in the food realm.

My kids LOVE the asian noodles at Kona. They are about the same age and I didn't think we'd have enough! And it was a BIG portion.

Kona was the first thing that came to my mind too. My kids love the potstickers appetizer, the noodles and the fabulous bread.

My kids love the wings and salad at Kona, along with Kona Kones for dessert.

What about buffets? Something like Boma? Unless the whole business of carrying plates is a problem, I think buffets work better than TS for a lot of kids because they can sample everything; although the buffets all have some traditional "kids" items, neither the kids nor the adults are limited to certain sections of the buffet.

What about Ohanas? It's served family style, all you can eat. There's noodles, pot stickers (both to die for), salad, and wings. Then the meal comes with grilled meat--chicken, beef, peel and eat shrimp. Then it's all topped off with a yummy desert. If the kids end up not liking the family style menu options, they will offer to make your children a hamburger, mac-n-cheese, etc.

My DD (5) has loved the buffet at Biergarten since she was 3, and she's a picky eater.

If your kids like steak - le cellier, or Tony's in MK or Tutto in Epcot for italian. Buffets are a good suggestion - Crystal Palace or 1900 Park. Only you though know what your kids will/won't eat, you should look at the menus for each restaurant and see if there are things they would eat, that would be your best option.

We just got back from WDW Tuesday. This was our first trip where one of our kids was now considered an adult since she is 10. So for our sit-down meals we encouraged her to order off of the adult menu since we paid for it-she was hesitant as she's used to ordering burgers, pizza and chicken nuggets. Surprisingly she liked all of her meals-we had to tweak some and every restaurant was more than accomodating. At Le Cellier, she ordered the gnocchi with pesto sauce-they left out the eggplant (I think) and cherry tomatoes-she loved it; at Wolfgang Puck she got the fettuccine alfredo with chicken & bacon-left out the peas and she loved that also. Had the fried chicken at 50's prime time. She's not a big dessert eater, so her younger brother lucked out-he preferred her adult desserts to his kids menu selections. And she always wanted the fruit salad offered to him. So it actually worked out nicely. I was concerned since we had to pay so much more for her to be on the adult plan, but it was nice actually.

Another option rather than splitting an adult meal some restaurants like Le Cellier have a kids meal w/ steak, and Tutto Italia has grilled chicken and vegies, or pasta w/ a parmesan cream sauce. I appreciated these added options to the standard "kid" fare which my son would never eat! I don't think there is anything worse than Disney pizza and Disney mac & chesse, yuck, this is where Disney really needs pixie dust!

My son at 3 loved the vegetable cous-cous at Marrakesh, now (14) he eats the beef kabobs. The restaurant is lovely, with music and belly dancers, it's a fun experience.

San Angel is also a lovely restaurant, and we would order a couple of appetizers with our meal and my son would make a meal out of them. Seeing the boats go by,, the music the decor, something different!

Tepan Edo (Japanese GHibachi grill) has a kids meal with rice and chicken or shrimp, just like the adults and the show the chef puts on is cool!

If you head to DTD, T-Rex is a fun place for both kids and adults, and I think the food is good! Their kids menu has ribs, popcorn shrimp and rotiserrie chicken.

My son even now loves Sci-Fi, sitting in those cars, who am I kidding, we like it too, the burgers and shakes are very good!

We only like 2 buffets, Boma and the Tusker House Character Breakfast buffets, the best of Disney IMO!

Remember that any Disney restaurant will prepare typical adult meals like steak, chicken or fish simply seasoned w/ salt and pepper rather than sauced or spiced as described on the menu, you just have to ask! I've always appreciated restaurants that encorporated what is considered "adult" food (IMO, food is food ) into the kids menues! If there wasn't anything on the kids menu he liked, he picked from the regular menu or ate part of mine!

Have a great time in September!
