The DVC Golf Card allows for free transportation from the resort to the golf course as well as club storage, cleaning, moving to another course.

Anyone who has used them (or who just generally knows) can you tell me your experience, how the transportation voucher works (how you get it, how far in advance etc), and about tipping.

Thanks in advance.

I can't speak for DVC, buy my DH plays and his transportation has always been free. They just tip the cabbie. Cleaning and storage the same way. I think for the cleaning he tipped a little more. We just bought into DVC and the Golf club was a huge sell to my DH. He loves Disney courses. In the past we have stayed at AS resorts and CBR and like I said transportation was free.

Not sure about the golf card...

You can receive a free voucher to the Disney courses from any resort. Bell Services will do that. To get the return voucher, just ask the golf shop. They will call the cab. Tip is included in the voucher.

Last time we were at WDW, they wouldn't store the clubs. We had to take them to our first course. If you are playing more then once and need them transported, Disney will move them to the next course.

You will need to take the clubs back to the resort after your last round.

Every course has people to clean/wipe off your clubs. They should be tipped at the time for the service.

My Dad played golf everyday of our trip in September, and couldn't say enough great things about his golf experience. The CM's were so great, one guy even drove my dad back to OKW in a golf cart so he didn't have to wait for a cab! My Dad, who is SOOO cheap, is pretty much sold on DVC & OKW after our stay in a 2BR and his golfing experiences, not to mention it was SO cheap in September, like $20-25 a round. He was amazed.

Okay, your golf-playing-significant-others must be different from mine. Leaving his golf clubs would be equal to leaving his child!! :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

I'm not being critical, he's just that way. And we usually rent a car, so he can drive to the courses.

I am glad they offer these services to others. When we've been at the courses, I often see the cabs dropping happy golfers off - this is of course before they play!!

My husband refuses to leave his clubs, too!

I have often dropped my husband and sons off at a WDW course and then gone on my merry way. They just take the cab back if it works out best for us. I think it is a great service. :sunny:

I played several times on our last visit, each round with DVC golf membership cost $25 and included club hire as well, the clubs I used were very good quality Titelist woods and irons with several lob wedges and a Scotty Cameron putter as well.

Transport is included to and from the golf course if you are staying at any Disney resort.

Mark, I didn't realize that rental clubs were included in the DVC card. :sunny: That is great news.

And, yes the free transport is free for anyone staying on property.

We took several friends golfing last December and they played 4 of the courses. We had purchased the DVC golf membership. They stored the clubs, cleaned them and transferred them to the next course. We had a car so didn't need transportation. My DH is also very attached to his expensive clubs but felt very safe leaving them. He tipped them $5 for the cleaning. We had a great time and our guests loved it also.
