Golf Recommendations

Does any ony have any good tips about golfing at wdw? Dh is going while we are there and would love any info anyone has.

We played Magnolia this past November. Watch out for turkeys on the course. A guy we played with said he'd seen them at Osprey Ridge, too.
Take your own clubs. We decided to rent as it was included with the package. While the clubs were of good quality, there were at least three different brand names in my set.

To DH, WDW is a golf resort. He usually golfs every day we're there. He's golfed every one (including Oak Trail) except Palm. His favorite is definitely Osprey-beautiful, challenging. He also likes Lake Buena Vista, maybe not the most beautiful course, but he considers it a "best buy". Last time, when he was at Magnolia, the cart lady went out of her way to get him a particular sandwich. That's just an example of how wonderful all the people there are. And when we went to EP to use the driving range, they gave him far more balls than he'd paid for. Everyone is very friendly, courses are beautiful.

They will let you play there even if you are not a resort guest right? Guests just get to book tee times earlier?

Turkeys! Big deal! While playing the Palm, one of my drives into the rough came to rest about 25 feet from a sunning alligator.

Also, there are great discounts for military, although you can't make tee times until the day prior to when you want to play.
