Seriously, I have never bought the DVC member discount card but have golfed after 10:00 A.M. for a nice discount. They also have a bigger discount for after 3:00 P.M.

I hate golf carts and being made to take one, so I love Oak Trail, the 9 hole walking course.

I don't know if they have discounts for the time of day in January. the best time to play would be 10 am in Jan while in the summer it would be the worse. Also it gets dark around 5:30 in January so you would have to get out there before 3 I would think for 18 holes unless you are trying to set some kind of record for time. The weather for golf is great in Jan. I see you are from the North West so you should really enjoy golfing in the winter in Florida.

The rates change alot mid-January. With my DVC card I pay $50 the first two weeks then it almost doubles the last two weeks. The consider that time (until end of April) to be prime time. They will charge the highest rates all year then. Resort guests rate in the am is around $179.00 (Osprey) down to $140 at LBV. Drops to around $100 after 10am. Figure about double what the summer rates are. Not too many warm places to golf in the rest of the country.
