Golf coast beach front rental

I know it's a bit off topic but I was wondering if anyone has rented a nice, on the cheap side of price, place for a family of 5 to stay on the Golf Coast near the beach. The condo we use to rent has been sold and no longer available for renting. It was awesome as it was across the street from the beach and only charged about $600/week. We are looking for the second week of May. I know that if someone can help it would be the Disers

I had to laugh at your typo. Probably Golf coast is more appropriate than most of us non-golfers want to think about.

August is the off season. Too hot and hurricane season. You can get some real deals then.

It has been a few years, but I had a business trip to Fort Myers one August. I found a beach front resort at Fort Myers Beach that was cheaper than the usual Homewood Suites inland. The family had a great time at the beach while I worked all week.

Ram Sea 513 - Redington Beach

We stayed there last year, and my parents have stayed in this unit many times.

In general, the Ram Sea seemed pretty nice, so I am sure you could look into other units there as well.

No need to feel stupid. We all make mistakes. I'm dreaming of summer myself. I just wanted to add that during the whole Housing Mania a lot of hotels were torn down so condos and McMansions could be put up. It's a shame but I would still check VRBO to see if there are any good deals out there.
