I have a golf cart rented for 5 days from WDW, but I've heard that Kenny is cheaper, however, I have no idea how to get ahold of this person? Also, I think I read somewhere that he rents larger golf carts, we are a family of 5 and I reserved a 4 seater, I know the rules state only four are allowed on the cart, but if we put the wee one in the middle of us in the front, are we going to get pulled over? How closely do they 'police' the carts?

mjtatman,

My rule of thumb for how many people can fit in a cart designated for four people is simple: "butts in seats".

It seems the Fort doesn't mind 5 people in a cart if they are all appropriately seated. If you have a youngster you can put in the middle that is ok as long as his butt is in the seat. What is NOT allowed is sitting in someone's lap (too easy to slide off if the brakes engage suddenly) or standing on the back platform area hanging on. Infants can be held in the arms of an adult (not the driver of course). People do strap car seats into carts as well.

The policing they do seems to be that they don't want kids driving and following the rules of the road (pull to the side to let cars pass, don't go to fast in crowds, etc). I have seen Cast Members down at the big intersection by 100/400 enforcing cart rules during busy times.

As far as Kenny, his website is Tee Time Golf Carts http://www.****************.com/ which has a cell phone number and email link. Kenny is less expensive but he runs a lean operation and lately some calls haven't been returned, some reservations weren't fulfilled, and there have been a few issues. At the same time, others are reporting normal, fine experiences with him.

At one time it was said he had a 6-seater but I haven't heard about it in the recent past. Maybe he only has one, maybe that one was loaned from another provider so it's not always available. As I said above, if you can safely fit into a 4-seater go with that. Disney is more expensive but highly reliable. Your choice.

As long as everyone is seated (in seats, not on laps) I've not seen the Fort security say anything. They only "police" for under age drivers and reckless driving.

Kenny's site is http://www.****************.com/

(this is not an endorsement just info)
