We have reserved a preferred loop and wondering how far
loop 1400 is from the Marina area? The map makes its look a
pretty good distance.

Also, if we reserve and then change our minds when we get there
are we charged the full amount ? First time camping @ FW so any info would be helpful.

Thanks,
Cheryl

First, you'll love FW! We just returned.

As for the golf cart, I feel a need for one, no matter what loop we're in. For example, I needed a prescription delivered to the outpost from Walgreen's. There was a mix up and it didn't arrive until almost 10pm. Well, if I had to wait for a bus, take me to the oupost, wait for another bus, I could have been gone near an hour.

I realize this is an unusual circumstance and the bus system is very good for a bus system. I just like to come and go at my time.

It comes down to personal preferance.

Have a wonderful time!

I agree with house_of_princesses...it is personal preference, but we love having a cart too! The 1400 loop is our favorite, and it is close to a lot of things (the Meadow Trading Post, Campfire, Bike Barn, Meadow Pool, etc.). The Marina is within walking distance, but it still will take you a few minutes. A cart makes it a lot easier for us, and we like to just ride around the campground in it.

I think you can cancel up to 24 hrs. in advance of the first day of your reservation for the cart without a charge (someone can correct me if I'm wrong, but I think it's one day's charge to the card you held the reservation with if you don't cancel in time.)

Hope this helps!:D

We just went in October and had a cart for the night we went to MNSSHP. Thank goodness we had it because there were alot of tired feet that night and the walk or bus wait would have been long with three young kids. Other than that we did not have one. We took the bus to the marina or walked (in the dark!!) while our kids rode their bikes (we decided not to take ours) to the campfire, pool, giftshop. I didn't think it was too bad of a walk but my little ones (5, 8) had their bikes and the rest of the time we were at the parks!
