Golf Cart-Do you need to be staying at Fort Wilderness?

Can you rent a golf cart if you are staying on Disney property, but not at the Fort?

There is really nowhere else you can drive the golf cart, so not sure why you would even need it if you weren't stay at the Fort.

You can't drive it off property. If you are talking about coming over to the campground and using one to get around while touring, then sure, that is allowed. But it's much cheaper to walk.

Thanks for your reply. I'm asking because my two boys were going to stay at the Fort for a couple days while we were at Bay lake. Now we are thinking all of us will stay at Bay Lake. Then we would like to get a golf cart for the day to tour all the Christmas decorations the day we come over for the campfire and to eat at Trails End. I was just wondering if Disney would take a reservation fro a golf cart if you are not staying there.

Yes you can make a reservation even though you are not staying at the Fort. You won't need it for Trails End since its so close to the boat dock. But you can drive it and park right next to the campfire, also looping is popular to look at all the decorations at the campsites. Its best to make a reservation well before the holidays because they will book all their golf carts.

Advance reservations are highly recommended and can be made up to one year prior to your visit by calling (407) 824-2742. Unreserved carts may be available for rental on a first-come, first-served basis.
