Hi, My family, consisting of 2 older adults, and 4 grown children, will be coming to stay at FW cabins at the end of Oct. for 1 week. I have been in contact with Orlando Golf Carts about renting, and was quoted a very good price. Is there anyone out there who has actually used this place before? He took a $100 deposit from me and is asking for the rest at the beginning of Oct. Thing is, I'm afraid because I can't find any feedback on how reliable this guy is. I did not get his name, but he has an English accent, and was very polite on the phone. Also, I saw someone suggested getting 2 carts for this many people. Is there room at each site to plug in two carts? Thanks for your help in advance. Am very happy to have found this site!:goodvibes:

Ive never used them so I cant help you with that... I can tell you that there are at least 2 outlets outside of the cabins so you can charge 2 carts without a problem.

There is a single outlet plug where you park the cart, to plug the cart into. on the deck outside the cabin is a double outlet plug but you would need an 25foot extension cord to plug a cart into it.

One other thing, I don't think you are going to get 6 adults into a 4 person cart.

Ok cue posting a picture of someone violating the rules and putting more than 4 in a cart.

Thanks for the help...still not sure who to go with, but will do further research.

I have never used this company, but their name has been mentioned on this board 50 times since I've been coming here. In fact, they are only one of two companies that get positive testimonials on this board. That said, I do not think reputability is an issue here.

On the other matter, if your teens are old enough to drive, I'd get two 4-seaters. If you and your mate often go in two different directions, I'd get two 4-seaters. If neither of these are true, I'd get one 6-seater. Good Luck.

I also had the same anxiety about renting from him this December. I posted on a few other sites and did not receive any feedback good or bad as to his rep. so I just decided to go with it. I emailed Orlando GC several times and the manager/owner, Danny, always responded in a timely manner. I called him and he was super nice. His price could not be beat. I also liked the fact that the cart will already be there when we check in and we can just leave it in the parking lot when we leave. We don't have to worry about getting ahold of someone and waiting around for the cart to be delivered.

Maybe you could ask him for references??? Good luck with yur decision!!!

I have six people as well but the smallest is my 5'2" nine year old. (yeah we're a buncha amazons) I contacted Orlando cart rentals and they told me that their four seaters can actually fit five, but not six people.

I just booked a six seater cart with Kenny at Tee Time for $300 for a week :dance3:

I just talked to Kenny yesterday. Even though everyone here said he only had 4 seaters he was so highly recommended I called anyway, hoping maybe something had changed and it has! He told me he is just now in the process of buying some six seaters because he gets so many requests for them. Yay!

So, how much is the golf cart per day to rent from this place? I just looked at FW rates last night and :faint: $63.50 per night. Yikes! I know it's been a few years (2008) since I've stayed at the cabins, but we always rented a golf cart and I remember paying $40 something a night. :rotfl:

Go to orlandogolfcartrental.com The prices are all listed under the Golf Cart Rental section. Im paying $208.65 for seven days.

Can't help with Kenny.

Thanks and good luck!!

At $59 a day at the Outpost, $55 a day from Orlando Golf Cart rental doesnt seem like that great of a deal for people staying a few nights. Anyone know of any better quotes?

My quote from Kenny at Tee Time for a six seater was $300 for Saturday through the following Sunday.

We have stayed at FW many times and this will be the first time we have bothered with a golf cart rental. I am getting old I guess!! :hippie:
