I agree! I love the occasional glass of wine! :thumbsup2

I never thought that I'd love to exercise, but I really do. Spin class is my favorite!!! I just LOVE IT!! After that there's a class called Body Vive that I really like. Well, actually I think I love the instructor the most. She does a great class!! Yoga at my gym is my least favorite. I've been to other yoga classes that I enjoyed, but this form of yoga holds your pose for a very long time, and is great for people who are in shape. For those of us trying to get there, it's a little rough! I also love body pump! That's one one of the classes that I'll be doing tonight. It's lifting weights to music. Covers every muscle group and is a great workout!! Oh, and I'm trying Zumba tomorrow night!!! CAN'T WAIT!!!

Yesterday's Food Intake

B - Luna Bar
L - 1cup Healthy Choice Soup and 1/2c egg noodles
S - Grapefruit
D - Soy Slender / Protein Powder Shake with banana
S - Small Salad with Kens light dressing

NutriMirror Calories - 1125

No exercise today. I went to my husband's basketball game. Will be at the gym tonight and tomorrow both for 2 classes each. :-)

How did Zumba go? I tried a class called Zumba once, and it was a lot of fun! Dancing while working out- they turned out the lights so we could all feel more comfortable dancing. :dance3:

Yesterday was a great day! I just felt really good. I don't know why, but I'll take it!!! :cool1:

Body Pump!!! This was the first body pump since I started working out again... WOW!!! It was a great class but my legs were shaking while we were doing the squat track! I mean SHAKING!! Hurt... but felt SO GOOD!! Can't wait to take it again next week!

Tonight is Zumba!! :cool1: I'm very excited about that! I used to do an african dance class that was a lot of fun, but this is suppose to be awesome! We'll see how it goes.

ALSO... I weighed myself last night. It's been 10 days since the Gold's Challenge started and I'm down 7 lbs!!! :scared1: I'm SO EXCITED! I know it's going to slow down, but it's just a great kick start to my weight loss!! I think Nutrimirror is really helping. Seeing what I eat in calories and fat is good for me. Keeps me on track. The last time I lost this weight (summer of 2007) I went to a dietician. I used to email her my food intake every day, but we didn't do calories. She just told me if I was doing ok and what I should change. This way just seems to be better for me.

Have a great day everyone and I'll let you know how Zumba goes tonight!! :scared1:

Seven pounds...that is awesome!!

I hope you had a good Zumba workout.

Zumba was awesome!!

Thanks!! :goodvibes

It's funny. Most people eat lots and lots of food when they go off the wagon... not me. I go back to my old habits of skipping breakfast and lunch. Snacking mid afternoon and having dinner at 9pm. One meal a day is the way I lived for the last 20 years. It's a terrible and habit and really shut down my metabolism. And whenever I stop thinking and planning, that's the habit that I go back to. It's just crazy!! :scared: But at least I'm at a point where I go back to good habits and don't prolong the bad ones. I'm trying!!!!!!!!!!!! :thumbsup2

Tomorrow night is Zumba again... can't wait!!

Another good food day. Another good exercise day. I planned everything out... so that really helped with everything!!

Breakfast - Fiber one cereal / half a banana / milk
Snack - Yoplait Light Yogurt
Lunch - Salad with chili
Before workout - Protein Shake
During workout - Protein Drink
After Workout - Salad with light dressing

Exercise -
45 minutes on elliptical
1 hour body pump class - LOVE IT!!!!

I'm taking tomorrow night off from working out. My husband actually has a night off from coaching, so we're going to spend some time together. Maybe go watch a movie. Whoo Hoo!! :cool1:

Wow, 1 meal a day- don't know how you did it. Has it been hard for you to eat more meals and snacks a day? It sounds like it takes a lot of planning and effort. Have a nice time with your hubby!

Isn't it funny how everyone has their own style of going off the wagon? Proper eating habits can be just as important as what you eat. As you say, it can really mess up your metabolism. I'm a breakfast skipper myself although I am trying to get in the habit of drinking a Gatorade in the morning.

Hope you and your husband had fun. It sounds like you deserved a day off.

Last night I weighed myself at the gym and after 3 weeks and 1 day I've lost............. TEN POUNDS!!! I know that to some people that's slow, but for me, that's GREAT!!! :cool1:I'm SO happy about it! Each time I lose weight it's very, very, very slow. Even in the beginning. But this time I really believe that counting my calories on Nutrimirror is helping me more than I ever thought it would. Not only do I feel accountable for everything that I put in my mouth, but it's helping me to plan and reminding me to eat. As I've said, I have a hard time eating 3 meals and a couple snacks a day. But Nutrimirror is a great reminder. Of course... I've also been at the gym quite a bit, but honestly, I'm working out LESS than I did during any other try at weight loss. The first time that I went down this road, I was working out doubles! I was there in the morning and evening 5 days a week! And even then... I never once lost more than 2 pounds a week. Usually it stuck between 1.2 and 1.6 lbs per week. I'm not thinking that this will continue at an average of 3lbs a week, but it's nice to start that way. Gives me some motivation!

I also got a locker of my own at the gym. I had been renting one that I shared with a friend, but we had so much stuff in it, that it wasn't serving it's purpose anymore. Now, I started renting my own. I love it! Since I always shower at the gym, it's like having my bathroom right there with me! On the top shelf I have a bag with all of my shower products and another bag with all of my hair supplies, deodorant, personal products. On the bottom shelf I have my sneakers and I'll be keeping my spin shoes there when I get them for my birthday! In the main part of the locker I have a plastic shelving unit with 4 drawers. The top one has odds and ends. Protein bars, drink mixes, my glass case, etc. The next drawer has enough washcloths and sweat towels for the week. The next two drawers are larger. The first has extra workout clothes and enough socks and under clothes for the week. The bottom drawer fits 3 bath towels. Then I added a hook for my makeup bag and another on the door to hang my robe. So... each day I wear my workout clothes to the gym and bring my change of clothes in my gym bag. That's all that I have to think to bring! Once a week I stock up on washcloths, towels, socks, etc... and I don't have to think about anything else! It's all there! I just love it!!!!

Ok... now onto today! Today is my nephew's 18th birthday party! It's not going to be easy to eat there and it's going to impossible to stay around 1200 calories for the day!! My niece is making lasagna, my sister is making a salad, my stepmom is bringing deli meat and of course there is the dreaded ICE CREAM CAKE!!!!!!!! Now I'm planning to have a small piece of lasagna and a BIG salad!! And I'm going to ask for a SMALL piece of ice cream cake, but I know my family. It's not easy to do this with them. Plus... they tend to push the wine, beer, or margaritas! I was at my sister's over the weekend and didn't have any alcohol, but I had to hear about it every time someone else got something. It's not easy. Comments about my "diet" (It's not a diet, it's a lifestyle change), comments about my working out too much and not wanting to have the affects of alcohol diminish my workout energy, and of course the "it's a party! Have some fun! Don't worry about! You can go back on your diet tomorrow!" (IT'S NOT A DIET!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!) They aren't mean about it... they don't drink a lot (but at parties we always have a few), and my family isn't obese (but many of us are overweight). They just associate parties and family time with food and wine.

I'm going to stand strong and stick with what I want for myself. I'm too excited about the 10 lbs to let anything stop what I'm doing. Maybe my excitement will spill over onto them!! :rotfl:

Congrats on the loss! 10 pounds is great! And, I love how you can store so much in your locker. Sounds well worth the fee.

Wow, that is great!! 10 pounds! I can just imagine how good it felt to see that on the scale.

Sounds like the locker is a good investment...very convenient.
