Does anyone have any information that they can share about this motel.
Was thinking of staying there in December.

We stayed there Dec 28-30, 2007. The rooms are large and very clean. The furniture, bedding etc. is all new. They had hurricane damage two years ago and did a major upgrade. The motel is family owned and operated by the original American owners. They take great pride in their property. The pool is clean and nice and warm. The free internet worked great. There is no safe in the room for laptops or cameras and this was the only thing that bothered me. There is a fridge/micro in the rooms. In the back is Lake Cecile with a barbecue are and horseshoe pit and lawn. The view is beautiful.

They have security cameras outside and they are monitored from the office. They told me that there is a retired deputy sherrif living there at night and he watches the place.

We paid $62.95 for three people and were quite happy. It is not the Ritz but a family motel that is clean and comfortable. Hope this helps

Ah memories of the "Missing Link Motel". From the sounds of it they have done a complete renovation from when I was thinking of staying a night there.
We checked in and turned right around and checked out after visiting the room. It had mold in the bath and a horid smell in the room. Just plain dirty! Keep in mind this was several years ago and things may have changed.

We still laugh about it at times. But, good luck on your stay. :confused3

Many years ago - 15 at least - we stayed there a few times. Found the family that owned it very nice & accommodating, the price reasonable and the units (at that time) immaculate. We also jokingly called it the Missing Link.

This many years later unless they've invested in major upgrades and capital improvements it would be in sad shape. The more recent stay by the poster above makes it sound like they have kept it up. I hope so as we recall it as a nice, family oriented place to get a clean room reasonably.

Having been spoiled by large 2-3 bedroom timeshares since our last stay there we never stay in a motel in Orlando anymore.

I did get a quote and this is what was emailed to me yesterday. There October rate is $39.95 plus tax daily and $260 plus tax weekly.

I would be interested in hearing more reviews from those that have stayed there since there new renovations.

TIA
