Ooo, pulling for TS3, of course. Don't really care about anything else on the movie side. Didn't realize The Tourist was a comedy!
On the TV side-- pulling for Boardwalk Empire/Steve Buschemi, Modern Family, and Steve Carrell!

What I want to know is how in the world Chris Colfer (who I adore) was nominated as best supporting actor in a television mini-series or movie for GLEE??

The GG's have lost their minds this year. The Tourist? A Comedy??

They don't separate the supportings by category. It's anything on TV.

I saw The Tourist this weekend. It wasn't really good.

BUT, but I'd see it again just for the Johnny factor. And I'm a movie snob. He just looked so lovely in that movie. I'd pay $14 to watch him stand there for two hours, however.

I can't fathom why The Tourist would be a comedy. There are many rumors (mostly started from Deadline but there are others) saying the Globes is a "bought" situation. This certainly doesn't help their case at all.

Yay, Inception. I hope that Johnny Depp wins for Alice in Wonderland. I'd love to see James Franco win too but he's not likely I guess.

I loved Inception! But man thats a rough race for best animated feature...I loved Despicable Me, Toy Story 3, How to Train your Dragon AND Tangled ...I'm pulling for Despicable me or Toy Story 3 I think...Toy Story 3 wins narrowly for me

Yeah, the nominations are just weird this year. The Tourist as a comedy? Even without seeing the movie, I can tell it's not a comedy. And no nominations for Get Low? Should have included Bill Murray for supporting actor, drama and Robert Duvall for lead actor, drama.

Just feels like a completely lackluster bunch of choices. I sincerely hope this isn't a precursor of what we can expect from the Oscar nominations this year!

Hmmm... I think most of the noms are spot-on, except for the absence of Leo (for either Inception or Shutter Island) and the inclusion of The Tourist.

Ah I see...it's a supporting role in a SERIES, mini-series or made for tv movie. gotcha.

That aside, the GG's and The Hollywood Foreign Press are a complete joke. I remember watching some documentary about the HFP and it was quite eye opening.

I was thinking the same thing. I'm interested in finding out who will win for best animated feature. And I hope Inception wins best drama movie :cool2:

While I fully expect TS3 to win, I wouldn't be surprised to see any of them get it. I loved Inception but after hearing rave reviews about The Fighter, I'm curious to see what happens. I don't think any of the nominees are a shoo-in, with the possible exception of Colin Firth.

I saw Black Swan this weekend, and it was one of the best movies I've seen all year. Hope Natalie Portman wins, she was terrific!

I think this may be the next film I go and see. DH wanted to take me to see The Tourist this weekend, but even my love for Depp couldn't inspire me to see this movie in the theatre because the reviews are just awful.

I'm actually quite surprised that Toy Story 3 wasn't nominated for Best Motion Picture Musical or Comedy, considering how good it was. Maybe they were afraid of it WINNING, like Toy Story 2 did back in 1999. Heaven forbid something animated takes home such an important award!

Go Chris Colfer!!! I hope he wins..I absolutely LOVE him!!

As much as I enjoyed TS3 and thought it was a sensational movie, I personally think everything about the movie should be nominated for awards in order for it to be nominated as best movie.

You can't give out acting awards in an animated movie, which is why I don't like seeing animations nominated as best movie.

Just personal preference... but if the movie is the best, then everything about it should also be the best.

I just posted the SAG noms. Interesting comparisons.
