Can I ask how long after you're 5th cruise you received this? Ours is the beginning of December and then we have our 6th and 7th in April and our booking for them is in the beginning of January. Wondering if it happens immediately or takes a while.

When we hit Pearl it was showing on the app about an hour after we disembarked the ship so it was pretty fast!

Sure. I disembarked my 5th cruise on July 25th. I received an email this morning.

When we hit Pearl it was showing on the app about an hour after we disembarked the ship so it was pretty fast!

Pearl! I’m not sure if I’ll ever reach that status. Congrats!

Your status should upgrade as soon as you exit the ship after your 5th cruise. If your account isn't showing as Gold by the end of December, just give Disney Cruise Line a call before your booking window opens to make sure everything is in order.

I got the welcome to silver email for my kids about a week after we got off board. I assume it was for them because I was already silver and got a "welcome to the castaway club" email.

Because Gold is . Might be closer to 2 1/2 times now. Platinum used to worth more than Gold in the 90's and up until 2008. That was the period that DCL developed the Silver, Gold, Platinum tier. I have no idea where Pearl fits into the picture.

Oh, you mean actual gold is worth more than platinum. I thought you were making some sort of comment that the Gold level in the CC was worth more than the Platinum level.

Has Disney ever adjusted the perks for the CC tiers? I think the special reception used to be on 7 night sailings for Gold and it was shifted up to 8?

You are correct. It’s 8 or more nights for the special reception.
