What's the difference between all these plans? Is it worth paying the money to get the gold or silver add on? Is it a big difference in cost. Is it only meals that are included? I just don't get the difference between the silver and gold plans - I guess that's what I'm asking!!

I can't help you, but I'd like to know what the differences are , too. I hope someone will come to your rescue soon.

Well I might have some 411 that might help. Last January my family of 8 went on the Gold Plan. My dad was paying for everything and we thought it would be very flexible if we had all the meals already payed for as well as the recreation etc. We were staying for a total of 10 days. The first 3 days were fine. but then we saw that we didn't necessarily need to eat three meals a day. We all know that meals at Disney are huge. We did a lot of recreation and found it very helpful not to pay every time we wanted to do something. The Plan included the Ultimate Park Hopper Pass, but we never visited the water parks or Wide World of Sports. Thelast day of our trip we still had leftover food "coupons" that we didn't use.
So in my opinion, if you're planning to stay a long time and visit every place then these plans are for you. If you're going for less than a week, they're not worth it. Hope this helped some!

I think if you go to the official Disney Site it is explained under the reservations section. I have never thought that the plans were a good deal if you price things out individually they don't seem to save much.Sometimes people seem to spend more time trying to figure out how to be places and do things to be sure to get all their meals etc. that it takes some of the fun out of the trip. I just like to go with the flow and don't want to plan my day around where I have to be at given times but tha's just my feelings. I am certain there are those people who like to have everything scheduled and planned before they leave ( I have one of those going with us in a couple of weeks and we are at the hysterical laughing point because each time we see her she has a new itinerary) I like to do everything separately but then I have been just about every year since 1982 and sometimes twice a year. These boards have been a great help with these latest trips- I have been planning since January 26th and am trying meal vouchers for the first time and bought passes over the internet instead of over the phone from Disney or at the Disney store. All that said - go to the Disney site and put in some requests for quotes on reservations using the different plans with the same hotel. The difference will give you a good idea of price and somewhere there is an explanation of what is inclued in each plan. You might also check out Mousesavers.com. I think she has reviews of the different plans and packages but am not certain. Good luck with your plans.
