Gold CC Member, no email about opening today

I'm a gold CC member and I didn't get an email about being able to call today for pricing. Had I not gotten on DISboards, I wouldn't have known. Did anyone else NOT get an email or am I the lone wolf who needs to pout?

Nope, we didn't get an e-mail, either.
 
We got one from DCL, but it was later in the day and our Dreams agent had already contacted us.
 

Nothing here either. But I saw it spread all over social media like Twitter, Instagram and of course FB.
 
Did get email, but could not get into DCL site all day to see cruise dates and where they were going.

I never get promotional email from DCL. I started a thread one time on DCL not having promotional email. I get at least one from carnival and rccl every week.

They never put them on the site for gold/platinum the first day but they will all be posted when it opens for general booking tomorrow.... oh how much easier it would be if we could just go online from the start!!

They will not be posted on the website until tomorrow. You would have had to call in today to check prices and book.
 
I am not Gold yet, so I am a little confused. If one of the big perks of Gold is to get advance booking, how are you supposed to know about it if DCL doesn't email you?

I mean, suppose you are Gold but don't use a TA and don't frequent social media?
 
I didn't get an email. I wouldn't have known if I didn't look at this board yesterday. I'm very happy to have seen the post here and was able to book something that is exactly what I wanted.
 
When second half of 17 was announced, I got an email from DCL telling me I could call to book the day before. I expected the same this time. Maybe it's a perk they don't want to really give us?

AH HA! There's the rub. Those emails are really hit or miss (mostly miss). But they only send an email saying when the booking date is open to Gold/Platinum.

They don't actually list itineraries/prices. You have to call to get that info. That's why the wait is so long on the phone that day. People call with an idea of what cruise they want, and then have to ask for the dates/prices for various ones before making a choice.
