Hi everyone. I've searched here and multiple places and I can't find the answer. I can't find gold passes listed on the Disney or DVC website anymore. Last I looked was last year.

Are Gold APs even still available for new purchase by dvc owners? We are not Florida residents. We've actually never bought them before but were considering it for 2020 because we are going for one very long trip and likely another later in the year.

If they are available, anyone know the price?

Thank you! Now maybe you can help me find the black out dates for next year, lol...

They don’t have the dates listed for next year yet, but I would assume similar to this year which were:

The following blockout dates apply to the Disney Gold Pass: March 24 ‒ April 6, 2018; December 20 – 31, 2018; January 1 – 3, 2019; and April 13 – 26, 2019.

Ok, that at least gives me some idea. Thank you!

The Gold pass is still available as we just renewed ours last month. Had to go through member services as we were renewing but dropping from the Platinum to the Gold. Too bad they aren't having the big AP discount like last year. Doubt we will see anything like again for at least a few years.

Ya the Platinum Plus pass for the price of Gold pass that was a great deal. That might be a one and done deal.

The March/April blockout dates are driven by Easter. The Christmas/New Year's blockout dates are similar each year, but may be tweaked slightly.

Right Easter is earlier next year so the black dates in April could definitely be different

Gold Pass Blockout dates: 4/13-4/26/19; 12/19/19-1/2/20; 4/4-4/17/20

We bought our Gold Pass on the Disney site last month: it's under parks and tickets: annual passes, logged into MDE and the DVC options came up for us. If you are renewing a pass, you need to call DVC to have them do it.

So if we buy a Gold Pass today via DVC Member Services but do not pick it up until January 19, 2020...the year then starts on January 19th when we exchange the voucher and enter the parks or does it start the day of purchase?

It starts when you activate the pass at guest services at Disney World, NOT the day of purchase.

About a year ago, Disney made a change as to when the clock starts ticking on NEW annual passes. The expiration is now based on the date first use. You still need to stop at either a Park Ticket Window or Guest Relations Location to activate a NEW annual pass, but the CM (under most circumstances) doesn't enter the expiration date any more.

Thanks for the update! Our last pass was a renewal (exp in mid Feb.), that we activated last April. Our next pass will be a 'new' one that we'll activate this summer. We pretty much always activate and then enter the park on the same day, so it would be the same to us no matter what.

Is there some kind of limit to this? As in, could I purchase an annual pass today and not activate it until late next year let's say?

I think they say good till 2030, but some have said it will be good after that. But who can hold onto a gold pass that long without using it, not me.
