Gold annual pass question

Hi there. We will be meeting up with some visiting friends at Disney Springs for dinner on Thursday 1/3. 1/3 is a blackout date for our passes, but, will we still get our merchandise and restaurant discounts that night or will they be blacked out also? I was under the assumption only park admission was part of the blackout. Thanks!
