Going without park hopper.....thoughts?

I have an Annual Pass, but seldom hop even once during a 9 day trip.

Although this past May I decided I wanted to just see if I could do all four parks in a day. So my last day I made EMH at Disney Studios just to do TSM, then hopped the boat to the back door of Epcot and barely made rope drop for Soarin', ran out the front of the park and caught the monorail over to the MK to ride Splash Mountain and Big Thunder Mountain, grabbed a dole whip float to eat on the way while I walked over to the CR and caught a bus to AK, where I road Dinosaur. I wanted to ride EE, but was running out of time, so I caught the first resort bus I saw, and made a run to DTD where I ran into Goofy's to finish up using the rest of my snack credits and ran over to WGP Express to use up my last 2 CS for two to go meals to take to the airport. I then caught a bus to POFQ to catch my bus back to the airport. It was a fun, but exhausting day, but I got to ride my all my favorite rides (except EE) in one day.:rolleyes1:rotfl:

WOW...that's impressive! :worship:

We have never hopped before so I don't think it will be an issue at all. We have a relaxing vacation each time.

I've considered not using the park hopper, but after going thru ADR's, that just wouldn't be feasible. I also like having a choice of parks, after heading back to the hotel to beat the heat.

I might think about it for the kiddos in the fall, tho.

On our first family trip we paid extra to hop and it seemed like we wasted quite a bit of time switching parks. This time we had the standard ticket and did not buy the hopper privelege. We did not miss the park hopper. :thumbsup2 We just got back.
We were there June 26- July 4th which is one of the top five or so busiest weeks to visit WDW!

We stuck with one park a day, and it worked for us. We did ALL the major rides and even took the time to watch a several parades, lots of characters, and even took the time to experience some of the little extras (Hoola Hooping on Main Street, etc.) :cool1:

On the days we went to the park early, we took a break in the middle of the day and either went back to the same park that evening or spent the evening going to DTD or a dinner at one of the resorts.

We took advantage of both Extra Morning Hours and Extra Evening Hours.
We spent two days each at MK and Epcot and then one day at AK and one at HS.

If I was the original poster, I would save my money and stick with the standard ticket. Remember, you can always add the park hopper once you arrive and decide that you really need it.
