Going wild for Mickey! Spring Break PTR. March 2012.

Wow I've left my poor PTR behind. So sorry! I have just been so super busy and haven't had a chance to update anything at all on here.

My mom and I bought a bakery back in September! So that is what is keeping me so busy. Hopefully I can get this back on track very soon.

We are planning to surprise the kids with the trip this weekend as a big present... Since DSS will open Christmas gifts with us this weekend. (We don't get him Christmas weekend). We want to do it while all 3 kids are here together so anyway... I CAN'T WAIT to see their reaction!

What kind of bakery do you have? I'd love to hear details!

Anyway... CAN'T WAIT TO HEAR ABOUT THE SURPRISE!!!!!!!!!! I'm so excited for it! (You'd think I was on the receiving end. ) Are you going to video it? I at lease demand pictures!

And with families everywhere, we're celebrating Christmas with my mom and sisters this weekend as well. Next weekend is everyone else.

Yeah a bakery! Kind of a crazy, spontaneous decision, lol!!! We do custom cakes, cupcakes, cookies... all that good stuff, plus it has a small store in it so we can sell supplies as well. We are doing pretty good. I enjoy cake decorating and never even knew I could do it! I was counting on my mom being the main decorator, shes done it for years and years... but then I started messing around and realized I was pretty darn good at it myself.

The surprise went OK. The kids weren't nearly as excited as I hoped. The 1st time was perfect, this time is was like, OH YAY OK WHEN? And then the let down because it's not til March... I probably should have just waited! But OH WELL.

I had a big present box for them to open together and inside I had some little Mickey head chocolate cakes with the surprise written on them:

OMG how cute!!! Sorry that it didn't go over as well as you hoped ... but at least they were happy and not "Ugh, Disney again?"

Well, if you end up on Foodnetwork, you have to at least let me know when the episode airs so I can watch it.

It's good that you had a natural way with decorating! I do good to put a layer of icing on a cake ... let alone make it look pretty.

I do hope you'll share more pics of your work along the way!
