Hi! I just found this board and I hope you can help me...We are going to WDW in Jan wiht my two sons (4 and 8), we have booked at the Summerfield suite in LKBV for 119$ (2 bedroom suite) now I'm wondering if I can get something a little less expensive but still good quality. I am trying priceline but so far no luck. How do you do it? I see people on this board staying at on-site resort hotels but the prices are soooooo high especially when you're paying with Canadian tire money :p We liked the idea of two seperate bedrooms for privacy :smooth: but now I'm wondering if it is all that necessary after seeing the Radisson at 59$..... Any input would be appreciated...thanks!!! Julie
P.S. anybody ever used Skyauction.com
P.P.S. what's the weather like mid Jan?

Hi my suggestion is to check out this main page 2 bedroom suites for 59 dollars US and we are staying a couple nights at All Star movies for 59 dollars a night just keep looking at this site and you will find lots of places for cheap even on site

3littlepeas,

Have you checked out Buena Vista Suites? They are advertising $59 on this site and they give you more space than your average hotel. They are in a great location too! Less than 5 minutes and you are on Disney property! Also, they include a free full hot breakfast...that will save you lots of $$$ right there!

No matter what you choose, I would try for a better price...$119 seems pretty high for a small suite off site in January!! I am booked at ASMovies for $61/night (Jan)...for that price, you could book two rooms and be on-site!

Try some suites on 192...I have heard the Comfort Suites (I think? ...could be Quality suites?) is a great place for decent prices.

If you really want space and are going to pay $119 anyway...book a vacation home with your own pool and kitchen!

We are staying our first week in Jan at a home less than 10 mins away from Disney for $111/night + pool heat. We booked at http://www.loyaltyusa.com/

I like it cus you get to choose the actual home you will be in, unlike most companies where you only can choose the "type" of home you get.

Good Luck with your planning!!

Welcome to the DIS, 3littlepeas. When you visit WDW in January, you have to be prepared for everything. My favourite strategy is to take a polar fleece jacket with a rainproof jacket that can go on top of that, so you can cope with various kinds of weather. When we went a few years ago during January we mostly wore t-shirts with either shorts or long pants during the day, with sweatshirts for the early morning and evening. Our last day, though, was so cold that we could have used mittens! Despite that, we were able to swim during the middle of the day on (I think) 5 of the 7 days of our trip.

Thanks guys!!!! I just booked at the doubletree guest suites inn WDW resort for 79$ fo ra king suite so we are very pleased!!!anybody ever stayed there? I haven't told my kids anything yet as this will be part of their X-mas present....I can't wait!!!
